NASA data tampering is a continuous work in progress, and almost always involves cooling the past and warming the present.

Warm biased “adjustments” are entirely consistent with a stubbornly non warming planet, in conjunction with a high priced politcal agenda, which is dependent on warming.
If they keep warming the present and cooling the past, soon NOAA will report temps from 1850 as a vertical line.. beginning from 270C below zero to ?. It’ll be interesting how they’ll explain that one..;)
What explanation does NASA give for changing the data?
None.
Reporters refuse to alert the public that the climate data behind all peer reviewed papers itself lacks proper peer review. And unlike UK politicians finally, Republicans are being their usual wimpy selves now that skeptics have handed them a wedge issue that exposes the whole left wing as willful frauds. They have allowed the sole expert skeptical senator Inhofe to become isolated in his debunking, and thus easily ignored by the mainstream media. Romney said very little, Newt Gingrich joined in alarm, and Bush signed the light bulb ban. Outsider Marc Morano has a louder voice than any politician, so far. Only Reagan spoke out against early alarm that chemist Thatcher helped set in motion by setting up a Hockey Stick Team division in the UK. Christians won’t vote libertarian, so the usual inertia kicks instead of real reform. They can’t stand to imagine anybody having any fun, mostly in cities, which they envy, cities that are melting pots of all religions and thus a threat to crazy Bible stories promoted as science.
The Christians in my church are not fooled by the Warmist religion. All of them in my circle have been skeptics for years about the carbon scam and wild statements by the Alarmists.
Glenn Beck is pushing for Libertarians, he is a Christian, as are most of his followers. Get out of NYC, it is rotting your brain.
While this adjustment series is again consistent with the ‘cool the past’ meme, it is tiny, maybe 5/100th of a degree C. Would it be possible to show the progression of the adjustments over the years?
A sequence of perhaps 10 or 20 years duration showing the annual adjustments made each year in a separate graph as above would be quite telling, imho. It is after all deeply implausible that all the prior years errors were always in the same direction. Occam’s razor would then compel the conclusion that the books are cooked.

It is not just climate data they are messing with the reputation of NASA is also taking a beating,
Reputation? It is right that various programs have gone over to private enterprise. After all, the goal of the NASA moon and Mars programs was to drop back to 60’s technology and start over. They were even testing systems for water landings. That’s NASA’s idea of progress. Meanwhile, there is engine technology out there to be developed that can do Mars in as little as 60 days from earth orbit.
