And in California, tonight, at 740 feet altitude, in wine growing area Paso Robles (which is typically hot desert in the Central Valley) it is going down to 26°F tonight, and it says it will be 19°F on Thursday and Saturday, with a chance of snow in Paso Robles Saturday. I’m not sure if Paso Robles has ever gotten snow. And again, all *before* winter begins. More proof that we are right in the middle of hockey stick style runaway global warming!
From wikipedia on Paso Robles: “the primary climate is defined by long, hot, dry summers and brief, cool, sometimes rainy winters… Summers in Paso Robles tend to be very hot, with daily temperatures frequently exceeding 100 °F (38 °C) from late June to as late as mid September, and occasionally exceeding 110 °F (43 °C).” Now 19°f & snow?
Actually I’m not sure if Paso Robles is technically Central Valley, but it is only an hour off of Highway 5 in the center of the Central Valley. And it seems to be one continuous stretch of hot desert as you drive to Paso from the 5.
Gaia will get you, my pretty…and your little dog(s) too (cackle-cackle). I’ve lived through such Colorado winter weather, including up in the mountains (and I expect the skiers are not complaining). I know you are blessed to live in Colorado, you can’t fool me. I lived there when I had a car, when I only had a bicycle, and when I only had my feet and the bus system–and I loved living there all the time. I even loved shovelling all the snow, and looked forward to it (but watch out for uninsured bad drivers in bad road conditions, I learned that too).
6:30 MST and still no snow here, just outside of Boulder. It’s a balmy 20F, though.
Been snowing in FC all afternoon.
Climate weirding will stop and weather normalizing will start as soon as POTUS affixes his laser vision on the problem.
