GISS set a new record this month, reporting 0.639ºC above RSS – amplifying the Hansen lower troposphere cold spot (also known as a witches’ teat in November.)
GISS showed all of Russia 4-8C above the 1979-1998 baseline.

Now compare RSS at the same 1979-1998 baseline. Only a small portion of Russia is above 4ºC anomaly.

The next image shows in yellow exactly how much or Russia is above 4ºC anomaly. Maybe one fifth as much area as GISS shows.
When you are unconstrained by actual data, you can do anything you want. I’m guessing that someone decided they need to get above Scenario C. A year ago they did their big November cheat (shown below) and looks like they are back at it again.

Interesting that Egypt and Israel also where above normal. That could be the reason they had snow lately. Is this the prove Man Made Global Warming provokes record cold?

That’s Obama’s NASA. Always reaching for the stars when it comes to statistical climate gimmicks. But God forbid they would have had a functional vehicle to put Americans back in space and service the ISS after the retirement of shuttles. After all it is far more important for NASA to have the mission of outreach to Muslim nations. (sarc) The only bright spot I can see at NASA are the rovers and space telescopes and various other unmanned projects to further study the sun and it’s effects and outer plants.
