What great news! Except that it is complete bullshit. They counted the return of furloughed government workers as “new jobs”

Obama told us that the government shutdown would wreck the economy. Now he is taking credit for it.
They are fighting the clock now, so will cook the numbers to show they are making progress.
But who is better off?
Still nearly two points higher than the average during Bush’s two terms, even with the tech bubble bust, 911 and the housing crisis. Obama can be defined in three words.

The US was already destroyed economically by the sequester.
The unemployment rate is 11.4%.
The Unemployment Rate is 7%.
For the unemployed, the unemployment rate is 100%.
There are still 890,000 fewer jobs than when Pelosi took the speakership, and started her three increases in the minimum wage. That is in spite of 10.5 million people added to the workforce since then. I’m glad I’m not a low skill teenager or 20 year old.
Over 90,000,000 people who should be working in America no longer can find work. If the Repub-licans weren’t so inept they would be pounding this number over the publics head until they understand that the Little Dictator should be removed from office for High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Sadly non-democrats cannot communicate directly to us, they have to go through the media.
And the media has them muzzled with the exception of a few tokens like McCain and other rinos.
Ugh, 90 million? That’s one too many zeros on there. There’s about 137 million people employed (non-farm payroll, so farmers are in addition to this), out of about 190 million or so between 18 and 64 years old. Not all of those in that age group can or want to work. Say those in jail, stay at home moms, full time students, etc.

Personally, I joined the US Military in 1972; three years active, 23 years National Guard; have been laid off from a civilian job once – and got a job in about two weeks. I owned and operated a business for 13 years; currently work full-time. My secret – I have always been willing to do difficult and/or dangerous work – I don’t expect others to work the same formula and my heart goes out to those who are really trying to make a go of it and just can’t find work that suits them.
They might consider a move to North Dakota though.

Important numbers for this BS recovery. Here are some facts on the latest report from Mish… •Last month employment fell by 735,000 due to the shutdown, this month it rose by 818,000.
•Averaging the two months, household survey employment only rose by 83,000 (a mere 43,500 per month)
•Last month, the change in those not in the labor force was +932,000. This month, the change was -268,000.
•Last month the labor force declined by 720,000. This month it only rose by 455,000.
•Averaging the two months, the labor force fell by 265,000. This explains the drop in the unemployment rate despite anemic employment growth on average.
•Last month the participation rate fell 0.4 percentage points to a new low, this month, only 0.2 percentage points were taken back.

43% of those “added” jobs were government jobs. Each government job costs more than 2 real jobs elsewhere in the economy. The Odumbo regime is the worst economic disaster ever.
It will be at 6% by the 2014 election. The government will change the data, tell any lie, punish any whistle blower and buy all the votes needed to stay in power. If they thought they could get away with it they would put the unemployment at 5% before the election. But the compliant media would probably find that a lie too far.
Drudge nailed it… 41% Government Jobs in this report…. Forget that Labor Participation Rate is at a 30 year low and they keep reducing the number of “available jobs”…. Simple math trick…
Assume 200k + Jobs were created… This wouldn’t drop the Unemployment rate by .2%… In addition just ignore youth Unemployment … Since so many haven’t even entered into the job market.. Ie can’t find a job to begin with… They never get counted in this numbers trick…
It’s all bogus… The economy has been flat for years…
