Put a barrier across the Fram Strait. They can have all the multi-year ice they want. It wasn’t melting that did the multi-year ice in, it was the Fram. Their own videos prove it.
I would say it is the public’s trust that is gone, and never coming back.

People want to know if they got all the ‘pleasure’ boats out of the ‘ice free’ arctic…
Next the brain dead zombies will tell us that CO2 is causing polar bears to starve because so much ice keeps seals from poking a hole in the ice to breath. Their solution will be to tax coal and gas.
I seriously suspect the part about it being more difficult for bears to hunt to be true. The bears will probably be inclined to venture further south to find openings in the ice, which means they’ll be closer to human populations.
