New Definition Of Ice-Free

A couple of years ago, NSIDC wanted to declare ice equivalent to the the area of France and Spain to be defined as ice-free.

That didn’t work out, so I suggest that they declare anything less than the area of the US to be ice-free.

    If they succeeded sceptics would send observers with photos to take snaps of the ice and pass them onto the press. They would then become a laughing stock – be careful what you with for. 🙂
