Reblogged this on CACA.
“On May 9, the daily mean concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of Mauna Loa, Hawaii, surpassed 400 parts per million (ppm) for the first time since measurements began in 1958. This is 120 ppm higher than pre-industrial peak levels. This unfortunate milestone was widely reported in the media.
Now another milestone has been reached that looks even more threatening than the above one. On the morning of June 16, 2013, methane levels reached an average mean of 1800 parts per billion (ppb). This is 1100 ppb higher than pre-industrial peak levels.”
Firstly those farting cows in the video have a lot to answer for !
So we are somehow convinced that 0.04% of the atmosphere is a major warming problem ?
Now 0.00018 % of the atmosphere is responsible for increased cloud formation ?
What about the couple of percent – 10000 times the methane concentration – that is natural water vapour ?
Of course it can’t have any effect – it has nothing to do with man made global warming. (I’m only criticizing their ability for self promotion and of the AGW narrative – the effect may exist but the very small trace concentration means it is almost certainly irrelevant.)
If there was financial gain to be made for discovery of the bogeyman I’m sure these types of “scientists” would be hot on his trail !
