In 1998, Hansen thought he was on to something.
It turned out that he was wrong. Temperatures went horizontal after 1998.
Most normal people would be able to figure out that they were wrong after 15 years, but Hansen simply ramped up the BS – and the data tampering.
Scientists learned to produce what the government wanted so they would get more money. They are as smart as Pavlov’s dogs.
This game started at the end of WWII, but Climategate and their foolish responses to it showed how bad the situation really is today.

Two things will eventually come from all of this (in perhaps decades)
1. We will have learned (again) a major lesson in how to do science,
2. Other important environmental problems will be overlooked or dismissed. Personally, I think water— where it is, where it isn’t and what is in it will be eventually be a concern of significant magnitude. Scientists giving a honest assessment will not be trusted because of this debacle.
It’s been a tough year for all the warmists except Dana Nut,he has just won Pratt of the year. He should be really proud beating the likes of Hansen and Mann.
