Trying To Minimize My Fossil Fuel Consumption

President Obama has lived up to his promise of making electricity prices skyrocket.

In accordance with his wishes, I have cut way back on electricity usage during this cold snap, and am instead burning huge quantities of firewood.

Children won’t know what a snowplow is.

I’m at Fernie BC and it is too cold to ski and have fun 🙁 …. I was only out for a couple of runs and thought that there is no joy in this.

I love the smell of chainsaw oil in the morning and burning embers in the evening.

I’m sick of warmists talking about a “pause”. This quote from the NY Post article (with a slight change by me) states the rebuttal perfectly:
…”Mind you, the term “pause” is misleading in the extreme: Unless and until it resumes again, it’s a “stop.” You don’t say a bullet-riddled body “paused” breathing”……

Well of course in Colorado, MJ can be consumed.
So I hope you are sequestering all the CO2 from your firewood into your Weed greenhouse.
so the plants can grow bigger, faster, and richer. Kinda like killing two birds with one stone.

Or is that giving the world the bird and getting stoned!

    “burning huge quantities of firewood.”
Well done. Wood is made by sunlight.
Trees are the world’s best solar collectors.
Forests are the world’s best solar farms.
Some clowns want to lock them all up.

  6. Steve Keohane says:

Until the late 80s, one could get a permit from the Colorado forest Service for $10, to cut and remove all the dead wood one could harvest.

  7. Bob Knows says:

Me too. The environmental wackos tell us that our non-EPA Approved wood stoves are verboten, but screw them. I keep my double barrel wood stove fired up all day when their “global warming” gets below freezing.
