Understanding Catastrophic Global Warming

Catastrophic global warming is complete bullshit, based on corrupted data sets, failed theory, massive Big Government money, confirmation bias, and driven by a small handful of morons posing as scientists.

No. The spirit of Joseph Stalin directs our federal research agencies. As George Orwell tried to warn us when he started writing “Nineteen Eighty-Four” in 1946.

Chapter 2 of my autobiography will expose sixty-eight years of deception to hide the source of energy in the cores of heavy atoms, planets like Jupiter, the Sun and galaxies.

I may post it yet today.

      Steven,

Thanks to being snowed-in today, Chapter 2 of the autobiography, “A Journey to the Core of the Sun,” was completed and is now posted below for your consideration:

      https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/Chapter_2.pdf

This chapter provides clear and unequivocal evidence:

      1. Neutron repulsion is the source of energy in cores of heavy atoms and stars
      2. The Sun made our elements, birthed the solar system and sustains our lives
      3. Iron-56 is the most abundant and most stable atom in the Earth and the Sun
      4. Weizsäcker’s “nuclear binding energy” selectively obscures neutron repulsion

Comments from you and others would be appreciated.

      With kind regards,
      Oliver K. Manuel

and driven by a small handful of morons posing as scientists
I don’t think it is fair to classify them as morons.
    Criminals, yes, but morons? No.
They have managed to construct an enormous house of cards – the biggest of all time. In any other field of endeavour they would be in jail by now, serving very long sentences.
But instead, they have managed to erect a brand-new state-sponsored established religion from almost nothing to one which would probably rate in the top 10 in the world; they have most of the leaders of the “free world” eating out of the palm of their hands; pretty much all of the public broadcasters and “progressive” media of the world are advocates for them — and so on it goes.

Morons? I think not. They know what they are doing and they know it is bullshit, otherwise they wouldn’t have to tamper with the data.
The morons are all on the other side of the fence.

When I think of those I have known who chose to take a government job, they have almost without exception, been what I generously call “less-than-competent”…. I work in the engineering world, so that may be a tad biased.

Yet looking at any government program. It seems that without exception they fail. Some fail spectacularly in the public view (Obamacare, it’s website, wars-on-xxxxx) and most just fail. (trillions wasted on late, over-budget, don’t function projects)

It’s not fair to morons to call government employees/tax-parasites morons.

And I’m not sure if calling them criminals won’t give criminals a bad name.

How about criminally incompetent ? What they have done (giant house of cards) was not completely deliberate (I don’t think they are that smart). It’s more like the tax-parasites make decisions based on a very short term outlook and never think about the unintended consequences.

The sole objective of all tax-parasites is to keep the game afloat. The tax-parasites all know they would starve to death in the private sector. Since very few of them possess useful skills that a private sector employer would be willing to pay for.

        Re-read the original post:
and driven by a small handful of morons posing as scientists
My contention was that the small handful are not morons – but criminals.
Like most criminals, they know exactly what they are doing.
“Climate science” is quasi-religious junk science – and as such is a huge magnet for the “less than competent” tax-parasite adherents and other carpetbaggers that have sensed the opportunity and flocked to it in droves.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

Exactly. It takes talent and cunning to build so much from nothing. And while many of their statements sound outright moronic, I’d say that’s because they know it’s good enough. The media and the public will buy it.

Their scientific method is based on the Joseph P. Kennedy school of government:

Don’t go for a landslide, don’t buy any more votes than necessary, and once in, never again spend your own money.

They are doing very well. I say the morons are the people paying for it, not the ones getting paid.

      • Colorado Wellington says:

In the context of other comments I would update mine:

“I say the morons are the people willingly paying for it, not the ones getting paid.”

Unfortunately, the rest of us are paying, too.

I agree with most of your post but definitely not this crap

  4. Eric Simpson says:

    They just make crap up!
I think there is a couple of points that we can all agree with. One, the warmist loons with their often non-sensical or easily countered science propaganda at least appear to be morons. Two, the leftist politicians and the leftist warmists are very comfortable liars. They are experts in prevarication, in fabricating disingenuous bullshit.
As was said at suyts place:they just make crap up:
“It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.” -Paul Watson, Greenpeace
“I believe it is appropriate to have an ‘over-representation’ of.. how dangerous it is.” -Al Gore
“Unless we announce disasters no one will listen.” -Sir John Houghton, first IPCC chairman
“We have to offer up scary scenarios… each of us has to decide the right balance between being effective [lying] and being honest [ineffective].” -Stephen Schneider, lead ipcc author, 1989
“The only way to get our society to truly change is to frighten people with the possibility of a catastrophe.” -Daniel Botkin, ex Chair of Environmental Studies, UCSB
“We’ve got to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing.” -leftist Senator Tim Wirth, 1993
“Everything we have developed over the last 100 years should be destroyed.” -Pentti Linkola, Finnish Ecologist

  5. Joss says:

Daniel Botkin is quoted erroneously. He was worried about that quote. See :

  6. Steve, “moron” and “scientist” aren’t always mutually exclusive terms. Some aren’t even posing.

    • Jimbo says:

Michael Mann comes to mind… The arrogance of thinking he could fake his data crunching and not get nailed to the wall qualifies as “moronic” to me…

  7. I. Lou Minotti says:

Here’s how I understand “catastrophic global warming.” Federally-funded and IPCC-approved computer models predicted one-half to one inch of global warming for the South Jersey/Philadelphia area, which the local clapping seals on TV said would quickly change over to rain and wash it all away. Instead, we got 6″ of climate change that’s taken me away from watching all the global warming that fell at Lincoln Financial Field.

  8. Chewer says:

Let’s not forget massive group think, or a more accurate description – progressive group think!

  9. Jason Calley says:

There is an odd similarity between the CAGW “scientists” and the Keynesian “economists”. Each camp has become wildly successful by simply telling the criminal politicians exactly what they (the politicians) wish to hear, and by positing a superficially plausible justification for their advice. Each camp, the CAGW enthusiasts and the Keynesians, preach that the world can only be saved by giving the Powers That Be more money and more power. Print more money, borrow more money, control all the energy used, tax away the economic power of the common man, give more authority to the rulers and legislate every action of the people.

If some small group of scientists could plausibly justify allowing Congressmen and Senators to wear spurs and carry whips, there would be calls tomorrow to put saddles on all our backs.

  10. What about the media who endlessly drone on about climate change but rarely discuss what it means let alone whether there is any evidence to support it. Then there’s the interview with politicians who bang on about the “need to decarbonise the economy” (why?) and “creating the greenest economy ever” (why again?). Finally there’s the interviews with those nice people from Greenpeace who are allowed to rant on about “we’ve got to save the planet” (I thought that was Dr Who).

As someone has noted – A lie repeated often enough becomes the truth

    Comment for Prof. Manuel:

Have you encountered the Thunderbolts Project and the Electric Universe model scientists? I noticed your reference to Hilton Ratcliffe. They too question the Big Bang model, black holes, dark matter, and AGW (CO2 man-induced global warming).

Wallace Thornhill, Stars in an Electric Universe (lecture, Univ. of Maryland, 2011). The Thunderbolts Project hosts annual event as well (more at Thunderbolts.info).
