   For thirteen years the state gets to have your kid for zero-tolerance shrill indoctrination by utterly pro-government union hacks. Do you think opinions will have tilted against gun ownership in another generation or two? While I expect there are still a few good teachers left, the system is set up to keep them from rising to the top, much as school itself is paced to the speed of the third-dumbest kid in class.
