What Does NASA Stand For Anyway?

NASA used to have something to do with space, but now they ignore their own satellite data because it gives the wrong answer for their agenda.

NASA: Hottest November on record, 2010 likely hottest year on record globally — despite deepest solar minimum in a century | ThinkProgress

Satellite data shows November pretty close to the median, but NASA doesn’t trust satellites. They prefer Hansen’s purple crayon.

There is much more federal government money sponsoring alarmist claptrap than in real research or space exploration. The sheeple don’t care about Mars, supernovas or average looking women falling to earth. They get that at the movies.

Mr. Goddard, where is your data about how “this November is pretty close to the median” coming from? Because NASA’s data (http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/tabledata_v3/GLB.Ts+dSST.txt) seems to indicate pretty clear that this November’s global temperature is the furthest out its ever been.

Wow, “+0.04 C” is a good *zero* for me.
At least we can trust RSS (so far) their data seems consistent and reflecting the known events about climate worldwide.

November the hottest? You could have fooled me …

My November natural gas consumption back to 2009 …
    Nov, 2009: 69 CCF
    Nov, 2010: 65 CCF
    Nov, 2011: 69 CCF
    Nov, 2012: 71 CCF
    Nov, 2013: 143 CCF !!!

It has gotten very, very cold, very early this year.

  13. Felix says:

Satellite data do not contradict NASA’s or NOAA’s ranking of Nov 2013 as the warmest on record. They measure different things. Satellites measure lower atmosphere temps and may be up to 8 miles above the ground level. The other data are from ground measurements. Surface temps in Nov were the highest on record. Lower atmosphere temps were moderately warmer than average. These two facts do not contradict each other.
