IPCC 2007 : Antarctic Sea Ice Declining

The world’s leading climate experts say that Antarctic sea ice is declining due to global warming.

antarctic data provide evidence of a decline in sea ice extent in some regions

4.4.2.3 Longer Records of Hemispheric Extent – AR4 WGI Chapter 4: Observations: Changes in Snow, Ice and Frozen Ground

Antarctic sea ice area has been above normal for 777 consecutive days, and the anomaly is increasing 20 Manhattans per day.

You must have chart turned wrong, I see a increase not a decline. /sarc

  2. Hugh K says:

Well that certainly would explain why Turney’s ship of fools got stuck in the “declining Antarctic ice. They must not have been in the “some” area. Should have trusted their own eyes/radar rather than IPCC data…
This IPCC data resembles Obama’s unemployment figures. The report 8 million people have found work since 2007, while they ignore the 200+ million capable workers that have given up looking for work. Therefore, US unemployment is declining. What comes after bizarro world?

Your chief said it so well –

“But we also know that this week’s….. (currently – “cold spell” but insert ANY climate/weather anomaly) is of a type there’s reason to believe may become more frequent in a world that’s getting warmer, on average, because of greenhouse-gas pollution.”

Pay homage and open your wallet.

    • Dave N says:

Hot spells prove global warming, and cold spells don’t disprove global warming, but if we count them as “weirding”, they prove global warming. We got ya bases covered..

    “climate experts” – oxymoron

  6. Ben says:

    Steve,

The Antarctic ice is above normal, but we all know it is thin, rotten ice.

So thin, it can only trap large ships and Chinese icebreakers. So thin, the Australian rescue ship dare not approach. So thin, the entire scientific team had their photograph taken while walking on water…

    Ice pickers…
