Another inconvenient truth is that nobody believes that warming causes sea ice. They tried 7 different ways to lie about that, but nobody is dumb enough to believe global warming causes sea ice.

… sounds like the Arctic version of the adventure the S. S. Minnow and five passengers went on … it was supposed to be a “three-hour tour” and it ran for I don’t know how many seasons as “Gilligan’s Island” …

“40 miles northeast of Barrow” is merely the raw location data mistakenly released to the public. Your question shows why that should never be done. After adjustments and infilling the data tracks nicely along the entire Northwest Passage.

Bingo! I understand he was going west to east, so he was in the Beaufort Sea..and not very far into it.
Too bad we can not impound his boat until the full cost of the rescue plus 2% is reimbursed to the US Treasury.
The warmista must be praying for some kind of freak wind-driven weather to blow Arctic ice down the Fram Strait this year. They are running out of AGW bullets; about all they have to shoot off is their mouths.

Seriously though; CO2 driven global warming – it simply has to get warm for their conjecture to mean anything. Climate change, disruption, weirding, all just arm-waving babble-speak.
Has to get warm. Period.
Arctic ice has to melt. Period. Otherwise, their conjecture is groundless. A hunch, a guess, that was wrong.
All they have to do is keep lying as long as there are people eager to believe the lies. So long as the liars publish papers and pass pee review by other liars.
