Tony I was on DMI earlier this morning and while there it struck me as odd that you use the old ice extent graph that they have been claiming they will stop producing someday.
Any reason in particular … I’m just curious?
It uses 30% concentration ice, which is a more realistic measure than 15% concentration. It also shows the past 10 years.
Following on, with the 15% or more standard even a modest wind can cause a massive increase or decrease ‘in ice’; likely why nsidc uses 5 day smoothed graph
