Yes, I’m rather curious about how the effects of, say, the asteroid impact that wiped out the dinosaurs compares to the effects of human contributions of CO2 to the atmosphere. The two events have to be comparable, right? I’m curious as to whether she considers the end of the recent ice age a global catastrophe, seeing as how species like the wooly mammoth and saber tooth tiger went extinct at the end of it.

So where are all the catastrophic predictions that were made? Where’s the heat hiding? Wake up Amy, you are either deluded or part of the problem. Do you have a top 10 of where the models went wrong.? Science at it’s core is the ability to predict. None of the models predicted the ‘pause’. In the world of real science AGW is invalid, the only way it can be maintained is by a Stalin like regime that says it is valid.

I suppose the argument is that we should give the planet the benefit of the doubt, by “phasing out” the fossil fuel industry. This may or may subject the environment to risks. On the other hand, the “phasing out” will most definitely be devastating to global economies around the world, and will likely kill or harm billions by depriving humans of cheap energy supplies. That part is OK, apparently.
