Chris Crawford (AKA Duncecap Dude) says that scientists never believed in global cooling.
8 Summer Miseries Made Worse by Global Warming, From Poison Ivy to Allergies
Other than a unanimous scientific consensus for global cooling, no scientists believed it was happening
It is one of the memes of the alarmists. He is either trying to propagate it, or actually believes it through ignorance.
A self-referential feedback loop; he has succeeded in achieving latch-up. A resetting of the power supply will only result in the same mad ‘loop’ behavior without substantial systemic, ‘root’ (gosh how I love that word) changes. IOW, a guy who believes what he reads when he reads ‘press’ clippings about his own progress, success or position on matters …
“you shouldn’t pay attention anybody but the scientists.”
“A report prepared under the auspices of Michael Bloomberg and several other wealthy persons”
Are those what pass as cogent, compelling arguments in Dunce Boy’s world? It’s like he’s treading water, but there’s no water even …
I don’t think this is a computer program “Robot” generated response because responses from those don’t generally reach this pitch of stupidity
Anyone who uses Michael Bloomberg as their bellwether for “logic” has been snorting/smoking/shooting entirely too many hallucinogenic substances for far too long.
Chris Crawford is to be ignored. He hit me with “shelf ice breaks off Antarctica and turns into sea ice.” I told him sea ice forms in the winter and is 8 feet thick, and shelf ice mainly breaks off in the summer and is 3000 feet thick.
He had no idea what I was talking about.
I shouldn’t make excuses for alarmists but maybe he only understands metric. Many people born post 1975 have no idea what feet are, except to put fashionable shoes on.
😀
Maybe down yonder. But up here we still use feet.
No. The global cooling scare really happened, it morphed into global warming, morphed into climate change, charlatans, publicity whores, and opportunists calling themselves “scientists” backed all of it. Media of the day sucked it up as revealed truth. Read all about it:
http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/1970s-ice-age-scare/
I commented on this thread – did maybe 15 minutes of research – didn’t need more because I was there in the late 60s and 70s; read the “science” and yes, it was considered science.
Dunce Cap Dude – can’t really say where he is coming from; sounds to me like just another idiot with too much time and too little IQ.
That is truly a dangerous condition when Time_on_hands >> IQ
With this type of apologetics you can swap ‘global cooling’ for ‘global warming,’ should it turn out that the catastrophic claims all turn out to be wrong,
Steve, if Galen Winsor is correct, the deception documented to date in stellar, nuclear and climate science is dwarfed by the exaggerations in nuclear radiation safety:

Thread bomber.
His hat DOES advertise him as a puddin’ head, doesn’t it. He did himself no favors.
After the hot periods of the 30’s these scientists confused a normal ‘cycle’ of cooling thru the 70’s with the imminent doom of a glacial period…
Today they are purposefully doing the same thing but from cold to hot… It’s just another cycle folks… Probably caused by this mysterious object in the sky called ‘the Sun’… Yet repeatedly these same hysterics want to believe the World is coming to an end… And make a few billion while doing so like Al Gore is…
Steven totally destroyed this dunce with 5 min on Google,,.
I thought Chris Crawford was an IA project run by an a group of social media companies. It’s objective is to try and find what defines the limits of influence any one voice can have. So far they have found that the influence of stupidity is limitless.
Duh, typo…
AI project

I need more decoffeenated caffeine.
Recaffeinated?
Yes, but not with the taste of coffee.
IA was closer – I see no intelligence in the dunce cap guy.
Intelligence artificielle, Monsieur?
Idiots anonymous.
This has been an Orwellian statement they’ve been making for 20 years now. If they keep repeating it, it will be true because most people don’t verify it.
“We’ve always been at war with Eastasia.”
These Tax collectors like Coca Cola, I think they make a larger profit and drive up inflation with this type of scam..
His hat is too tight for his fat head 😉
“Recently the bosses of several big firms, including Coca-Cola and General Mills demanded that government stop stalling and negotiate a treaty on greenhouse gasses. A report prepared under the auspices of Michael Bloomberg and several other wealthy persons showed how much climate change will cost the US in coming years – and it starts off in the tens of billions of dollars.”
These are the same people who think that bringing hundreds of thousands of young non-english speaking mothers with small children into our country will be good for our economy.
Obviously, we should do the exact opposite of what Michael Bloomberg and other wealthy persons say.
Drink more beer, soda’s and smoke in public again?
In short, enjoy life for a change …
Let me decide?
What a douche bag.
Interestingly, the last article mentions Professor Hubert Lamb of the University of East Anglia in Norwich. As we all know, this is the same University as another climate alarmist!
Mother Jones’ husband?
Another?
I thought that place was like the mother lode of ’em.
He founded the Climate Research Unit, but it was taken over in a palace coup when he retired and perverted.
This Chris Crawford character has got to be a paid shill nobody could possibly be that CORNY.
This guy’s hat icon suggests to me that he is basically a self-licking ice cream cone.
Comment of the day!

“All hat and no tattle” would be my pick …

The Latest Piece of the Puzzle
If the former Head of Radiation Safety at the Hanford plant for recovery of plutonium is right – as I suspect from the rapid and complete recovery of Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the end of the Second World War – then
a) CHAOS and FEAR in August 1945:

b) Destroyed the foundations of religion, science and democracy:

c) Leading to misleading government propaganda on:
1. The internal compositions of stars were changed from mostly iron (Fe) in 1945 to mostly hydrogen (H) in 1946.
2. Albert Einstein’s and Francis Aston’s valid equations for nuclear stability were replaced with Carl von Weizsacker’s invalid nuclear binding energy equation, exaggerating proton-proton repulsion and minimizing NEUTRON-NEUTRON REPULSION, . . . The source of energy that powers the cosmos from cores of heavy atoms, some planets, ordinary stars, galaxies and our ever expanding universe!
3. Wildly exaggerated warnings that Galen Windon exposed in a video on the real danger of nuclear radiation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejCQrOTE-XA&feature=player_embedded
‘Standard Theory’ (at the time) built our working bombs and have enabled us to use nuclear power for generation of electricity since; everything else is just abstract theory and not worth losing sleep over. JMNSHO.
‘Standard theory’ was abruptly changed after 1945: See item 1 & 2 above.
omanuel, how do you always come up with such hilarious links?
Galen Winsor rambling for 90+ minutes, with nothing to say, hilarious!
How does “New Theory” explain this event?

You just can’t make this crap up.

I find it amazing people like this guy are claiming that company directors, investors, etc. are supporting emissions trading schemes as support for global warming\climate change science – because they now believe in it !
These guys – investors etc. – are simply salivating at the opportunity to make a quick and easy buck through a scheme where governments guarantee rich rewards by forcing everyone to pay more for energy.
Gore is a prime example of how someone can make money out of climate alarm if you have no honour.
These schemes have less honour than sub prime mortgage boondoggles !
Something to ruminate on… What is one of the main ingredients in Coca Cola and its other line of fine, carbonated beverages? How much would Coca Cola stand to make by having non-beverage companies pay them to inject said ingredient into their products as a means of “off-setting” their own emissions? (You just know that Coca Cola would pull in some kind of quid pro quo
exemptionkickback from the EPA for backing acarbon-tradingmassive, economy-crushing tax on consumers and businesses. After all, those little bubbles of CO2 don’t stay in the solution for very long after the bottles/cans are opened.)Original Coca-Cola was a Cocaine Cola, the “Real Thing”. Where do you think the name came from?
Moxie was a cocaine drink too and originally more popular than coke. Cocaine was removed from Moxie in 1960.
A few quibbles as noted below, Gail.
1) By 1906 the Food and Drug Act outlawed the use of cocaine. Moxie would have removed the cocaine from their formula well before 1960. The 1960 date should have triggered memories of the much earlier-passed the Pure Food and Drug Act enacted in 1906.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pure_Food_and_Drug_Act
2) The wording of your own cite says “The Maine [sic] ingredient was outlawed in the 60’s [this turns out to be gentian root as shown below], also they took out cocaine from Moxie.” from which one should conclude that quite probably an ingredient besides cocaine was removed in the 1960’s. Clue Number two.
3) We find from more authoritative sources on this particular subject a different set of circumstances altogether:
Now, one should allow for the possibility of a typo in the way of character transposition on the date, I suppose, but the other error of identifying Moxie as containing cocaine runs deeper than that …
