  1. emsnews says:

The West Coast is dry therefore, since much of our media is there, all the world is dry.

This is the parochial view problem. It is wet as a jungle here in NY this summer.

  2. Andy DTthat says:

The problem is that there are too many people and not enough water when periodic droughts occur as they have always occurred over history.

    • dmmcmah says:

Well also doing things like diverting water for endangered fish contributes to the problem, unless you put the delta smelt above people and agriculture.

    • Brian H says:

Feel free to follow your principles and check out and leave your share for the rest of us.

According to the Low Fertility Band of the UN Population Survey, the only version that’s ever even close to accurate, we are entering a plateau, peaking about 2045 at 8 bn. Population will collapse to 6.x bn by 2100, causing major aging and labor shortage problems. Androids to the rescue!?

  3. dmmcmah says:

Albuquerque broke a record getting an inch of rain in a single day. So far the “monsoon season” rains are double the average, but they were on the radio news yesterday assuring us the drought continues.

    • geran says:

dmmcmah, that is exactly the thing many of us notice repeatedly. Thanks for posting.

As low temp records fall across the Northern Hemisphere, where are the “scary” news stories by topless babes? Can you imagine if this were winter and new record highs were being set?

Gov. corruption combined with media bias, it works (almost) every time it’s tried.

  4. emsnews says:

Tucson is having a heroic monsoon season with floods and lightning, too.

  5. Beale says:

Just as warming makes it cold, so drought causes rain – or rain causes drought, whichever.
