Heavy rains in the southwest have left little of the US in drought. Look for the press to ignore this story.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

youre right
aus media pushing cali drought today.
hear the mudslides there have killed one.
I had fun rubbing the alarmists noses in this record corn crop story. Climate change works in weird and wonderful ways: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-07-31/twin-corn-ears-expand-u-s-yields-with-bin-busting-crop.html
Here in North Dakota it is so cold we are wondering iif the corn will mature before the frost.
Major northerly flow of moisture will keep the SW wet for this week as well.
Compare this with the 1936 drought map!
Yes … unusual year we are having in Texas; not too unlike last year where when had some cold fronts make their way this far south and in doing so yield rain during months we are characteristically dry (July and August).
This year we have had varying amounts of rain ever 2 to 3 weeks. And temperatures much below what is ‘normal’ too. 4th day of August and only seeing 89 degrees at 2 PM (sun or ‘local’ time) in the afternoon with light winds from the Northeast.
.
Had some rain again yesterday – and it only rained a few minutes!

Good point about the media silence.
It has been soggy enough here the last two weeks everything is growing mold. YUCK!
Don’t you just hate feeling like you are living inside a sponge?
