18 Year October Cooling Trend Continues

Last month continued the global 18 year cooling trend, with the 6th coolest October of the millennium. NOAA calls this “the hottest October ever”

UAH also said it was the hottest October ever, and are diverging from RSS at 1.5C/century

Given that October had record Antarctic sea ice, and near record Northern Hemisphere snow cover – the RSS data is far more believable.

  1. .1 C? That’s a poor excuse for a “divergence.” Looks like noise in the data.

  2. With such divergence in high tech modern tempurature detection how can there be any certainty with proxies used to prove warmest ever. Buffoons they are.
    To alarmists:
    Relax, enjoy today’s weather and please don’t screw our progress with your guilt ridden delusions.

          China hacks into U.S. weather satellite network
          China recently hacked into U.S. weather and satellite systems, forcing cybersecurity teams to seal off vital data, officials said Wednesday.

          The news comes two days after the U.S. Postal Service announced it had been hacked — also reportedly by the Chinese. Wednesday, President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping announced a climate change agreement in Beijing….

          In recent weeks, four NOAA websites were compromised, spokesman Scott Smullen said. “NOAA staff detected the attacks, and incident response began immediately,” he said.

          The Washington Post, which first reported the attack, said the initial breach was in September, but government officials gave no indication of the problem until Oct. 20….
          Even as Obama shook hands with China’s president, an unspoken cyberwar continued to run between the two nations, Ferrara said.

          “Functionally, we’re in a spirit of détente with the Chinese. We’re talking with them and trying to cut deals with them, but we’re both hitting each other with two-by-fours in the background,”….
