Global warming has been hard on my Begonia. After surviving the hottest summer ever last year, the hottest winter ever has taken its toll.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Devastating.
Until a foot of ice, sleet and snow melt, we cannot check on the state of Begonias in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Many varieties with ornamental leaves and blossoms grow well outside in USDA zones 10 and 11, while hardy begonias survive winters in USDA zones 6 through 9 with proper care. Please note – with proper care.
You make a large box, mostly out of glass.
It triggers what is known as the “greenhouse effect” and by that I mean the glass blocks local convection (that being the primary mechanism of local heat loss). Remember to open the vents during summer, and close the vents during winter… thus regulating the greenhouse effect.
Begonia goes on the inside of the box, BTW.
Dirt side down, of course.
Is that the same begonia that survived the devastating hurricane? It’s a shame you lost it now in all the heat.

But the cherry trees are still covered in blossoms and blooming a month early due to GLO-BULL warming right … the experts got that much of their forecast spot on ….. hopefully obvious sarc 😉
I am south of DC by three hundred miles and the cherry trees are still saying Spring? WHAT SPRING! Wake me up when it stops snowing and sleeting otherwise don’t bother me.
Add Begonias to the list!
Living up here in Frozen Canada…I started my Begonia’s Feb 14…they have sprouted now from the bulb, but it will take a while….oh, they reside in my CAGW house though…nothing will grow outside for a few months yet!
Begonia abuse – looks an indoctrination session is in order.
Please tell us that you DO bring the dogs inside.
I have a lamb and a goat kid romping in the kitchen. Does that count? (I did get them out yesterday for a nice romp in the sun but today it is pouring rain again.)
So we can start calling you Ellie May?
I thought it was Mary who had a little lamb. Ellie May had $$$$$$$$ from Oil.
If they ever allow fracking in NC maybe I can join the ranks of the Ellie Mays.
I thought Ellie May Clampet was HOT! Now she’s dead. At least I still have Mary Ann and she is still darn near as cute as she was on the Island!
Back when SNL was funny…
“This here’s a little story ’bout this man Ahmed,
A not so poor emir, had him quite an oil spread.
Then one day they were shootin’ up Kirkuk,
Was a mis-guided round, now his house is ker-put.
Broiled that is, Mang-old, History.
Not the first thing to go, ‘Med lost some other lair,
Kinfolk said ‘Med let’s move to Belair.
Said war’s too stormy, there’s a better place it seems,
So they loaded up their butts movin’ to that Belair scene.
Thrilled, they is,
Warrin’ fools, Mudejars.
The Bel-Arabs!
So if you’re in Belair, say hey, to ‘Med at his new scene,
Tell him that we’re sorry and then blame the Fedayeen.
Our hope you’re likin’ very much your new locality,
We hope they’ll be no shelling on your current property.
Fedayee that is. Infidels, Check the Jews out. This ain’t Iraq now, Emir.
Some things never change, except maybe good writing.
Tony – Gorgeous back yard!
Oh my goodness!!! The hottest winter ever has torched all of the trees and begonias!!!
Just look</b< at that thick layer of ash!!!!
The hockey-schtick has arrived!!!! We're all doomed!!!!
WordPress ate my /sarc
The hottest winters are more devastating than the hottest summers. The hottest winter ever has been very hard on Noah Rouch, the world’s tallest midget:

What a shame! You should have moved it indoors during the ‘hottest winter ever’. The prediction from the Warmistas was a clue.
Hottest winter ever continues http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/aviation/delta-plane-skids-off-laguardia-airport-runway-in-new-york-during-snow/story-e6frg95x-1227250546366
I know exactly what is wrong with your begonias….they need more CO2….LOL!
