Las Cruces, NM is climate. Everything else is just weather.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Is Las Cruces hosting the “Burning Man” festival this week? Or did Mrs. O’Leary’s cow knock over the lit lantern onto the one and only “NOAA certified” thermometer in that town?
Please make sure to post about the record breaking heat, I mean cold, that will hit the DC metro area tonight. Oh, I am sure it will not be record cold in DC proper – the UHI that matters except when it doesn’t – but the suburbs are forecast to be low single digits.
I have lots of global warming falling outside my window right now.
So that’s what is making the majority of the country so cold. How did that Arctic heat make it all the way to NM?

The weather station may be one of the decent ones.
A photo maybe available.

I know it is cold outside but these Departure from Normal maps may end up being the source of a few laughs in the future. If you (NCDC and NOAA) have jacked the ‘normal’ temperature record, we will spend a lot of time below the adjusted normal.
