The 1900 Galveston Hurricane killed 10,000 people. The city responded with a massive engineering project that raised the entire island by as much as 11 feet. This saved them from another catastrophe during the 1915 category 4 hurricane.

    Assuming we turn in our cars and live in caves to “achieve” an early 20th Century level of CO2, we still have all of that lovely weather to look forward to. Plus so much more, like the 1925 tornado that killed over 700 and the awful heat and drought of the 1930’s, even if we do assume the Dust Bowl was Mann-made!
