Ninety degree days used to be common in Michigan, but rarely happen any more. The last really hot summer they had was 1988, when CO2 was still below 350 PPM.
Climate fraudster Heidi Cullen claims the exact opposite of what is going, saying that future Michigan summers will average higher than 90 degrees.
Blistering Future Summers for 1,001 U.S. Cities | Climate Central
Heidi and Climate Central are committing blatant fraud, with zero factual basis to back up their absurd anti-science claims.
Heidi Cullen may be incorrect about her climate predictions, but I see no reason why either her ethics or her judgement should be questioned.
Oh, also, Al Capone was just a simple seller of used furniture who made an understandable tax error. Jeffry Dahmer was an aspiring but clumsy med student. And Mao Zedong was a brilliant poet whose verses were completely misunderstood.
And VW should be held no more accountable than the team. After all they each did what they did for more funding.
If mistakes were made, isn’t society itself at fault? And if society is at fault, don’t we really mean that you and I are responsible? Why should VW or the team be punished when it was us who failed them?
(Whew! Thought I might puke when I was typing that!)
All you did was express the ultimate end that all moral equivalency leads to.
There was some real BS of that nature written over at WUWT. Blaming the method of funding instead of those that claim to be truth seekers which lie to gain that funding. How come is it that people that claim to be smart cannot see things that are black and white but only shades of grays? If your a scientist then your a seeker of facts. If you lie or distort the truth to gain profit then your not a scientist. It is black and white!
RAH, I could not agree more. You always have a choice. You can work in industry, work in another field, or even start your own company.
A friend of mine, who has been in business for himself from the 1970s noticed what I did. The moral code of the USA has sunk to a depressingly low level. The work ethic has been replace with an ‘How Can I Cheat’ ethic. An honest well trained worker in ANYTHING is increasingly rare. Instead you get shoddy work by lazy unethical fraudsters. We have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars to a series of cheats, from the guy who worked on my trucks, to the guy who put in our house, to the guy who put in our double wide rental unit, to the guy who put in the septic, electric, barns, fence, cut my trees….. We only had maybe 10 to 20% who weren’t cheats and/or useless in the last 20 years.
We are at present preparing to sue yet another useless unethical contractor….
Hey rah! “How come is it that people that claim to be smart cannot see things that are black and white but only shades of grays?”
We humans tend to fall for false dichotomies way too often. We limit — without even realizing it! – what options are possible. A lot of reasonably bright people grasp that yes, SOME things are shades of gray. Then, suddenly, they seem to think that ALL things are shades of gray. In reality, the world is much richer than that. There are blacks. There are whites. There are grays. If I had to go all philosophical, I would say that perhaps wisdom is the ability to differentiate between the three.
Here is the way I see it. It is black & white because it’s about integrity. Either you have it or you don’t. There is no semiintegrity. Just as there is no semifidelity when it come to ones commitment to spouse, family, friends, or country. The bottom line is that either it is there or it isn’t.
During July 1936, in Saginaw, MI, in northern lower Michigan, where a 95 degree day is now rare, there was a heatwave that went on consecutive days 104, 104, 105, 107, 107, 111.
During same heatwave at Chicago Midway Airport, there were 8 straight 100 degree days with a high of 109. Rockford, IL reached 112, as did Martinsburg, WV. Three stations in North Dakota reached 121, 120 and 119. Toronto had three straight days of 105.
Lets use RICO statutes to go after alarmists who tell lies and cause extreme stress to the public.
(I’m kidding)
