If You Build A House In The Sand, It Will Sink

Barack Obama is now an authority on permafrost.

Thirty Alaskan native villages on the coast are about to disappear into frigid waters; 12 are considering moving altogether. As sea ice melts earlier and forms later, more open water is left in the Chukchi and Bering Seas and the Arctic Ocean (which surround Alaska). Storms are larger and wreak more damage as a result (because ice protects the shoreline). And thawing permafrost, on which many villages are built, worsens matters by causing homes to sink towards calamity and releasing methane into the atmosphere.Climate is changing faster than our efforts to address it,” Barack Obama said at a conference on climate change in the Arctic on August 31st. Lee Stephan, president of the Tribal Council of Eklutna, a native village, agreed: “If all the ice on Mother Earth melts we will all live in water,” he said.

Greenhouse gases bear the blame; America alone produces 15% of global carbon-dioxide emissions.

Unbelievable stupidity on the part of Obama and The Economist. Alaskan villages built on permafrost have been melting for as long as people have been stupid enough to build villages on permafrost.

And to make matters worse, these villages are built on sand/gravel bars which have been shifting since the dawn of gravel bars.

Obama is exposing the world’s best kept secret: Stalin won WWII and used pseudo-science to rule the world:

ResearchGate offers you, editors of mainstream research journals, the news media, leaders of federal research agencies and the scientific community an opportunity to DOWNLOAD, READ & RESPOND in public, affirming or denying precise experimental data and observations that indicate the pulsar-centered Sun exerts primary control of the solar system and cannot be ignored in any realistic studies of, or policies to mitigate, climate change.

Next: global warming causes California earthquakes and houses falling down there, too.

I would remind readers that the poster child of global warming, the Alaskan village of Kivalina, is built on a gravel spit at the mouth of a river. No intelligent person would choose to build a village in such an ephemeral location, subject to vanishing at each big storm. Maybe the villagers are stupid? NO! They built there because the US government FORCED THEM to. About a hundred years ago the Feds put a school on the island and issued an ultimatum to the villagers (who were then located inland,) “Send your children to the school or we will throw you in prison.” The villagers relocated because it was the only way to both keep their children and stay out of prison.

The Kivalina village website used to tell all about this some years back. You can still find it in The Wayback Machine.

By the way, the Bible had instructions about not building houses on sand, etc. Also, anything built on permafrost melts the permafrost if the building is heated.

I doubt if Pravda had anything over these propagandists.
