In 2006, UCSUSA predicted a sharp rise in the number of 90 degree days in Pittsburgh
Uniontown, PA is the closest USHCN station to Pittsburgh, and the number of 90 degree days there has continued its century long decline. UCSUSA cherry-picked a highly misleading start date in the 1960s in order to slime their readers.
As always, climate alarmists are simply making stuff up – with no basis in science or reality.
So they have still 25 years left to reach 20 hot days a year in Pittsburgh.
I’m sorry but this madness will last at least a decade still. And yes, I agree that in this case Hayhoe was simply lying to get attention. There will be a reckoning some day.
They don’t always make it up. Sometimes they just take what somebody else made up, then repeat it, until it seems like it has to be true.
It’s almost as if repeating lie enough times makes people believe it.
Really? You think that could work?
“His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it”
One thing that has really screwed the alarmist over, and that is the actual weather. Especially the snow.
