Please do not confuse scientists (people who use scientific method) with academics who rely on positive reinforcement from the academic community. Academic scientist worship three of Bacon’s 4 Idols. Peer review only eliminates Idols of the cave, but embraces Idols of the Tribe, Idols of the Marketplace, and idols of the theater.
