    How much water would it take to raise the ocean level by 1 inch? Total ocean area is about 330 million sq km. Total volume is about 1.3 billion km^3.

      And of course , if all the Arctic sea ice melted and we got an sea ice free Arctic like most of the first 3/4 of the Holocene, it would not make one bit of difference to world sea levels.

    People who don’t understand or won’t understand the short-term affects of an El Niño event are probably very likely to believe there is an infinite heat source out there that is capable of melting the crust of the earth once it gets rid of all that cold stuff.
