Tony, Cook didn’t ‘discover’ Australia, nor did the Dutch although they were problaby the first Europeans to land on the continent more then a hundred years before Cook, and map the outlines of today’s Australia and New Zealand (Nieuw Zeeland (Zeeland a Dutch Province))

Not much has changed in 230 years. Climate superstition still reigns supreme.
Why? Because, deep within human nature there are certain types of people who yearn for catastrophe, they yearn to have significance in their lives believing that theirs is the time when the chickens are coming home to roost and everything is going to go tits up.
All I see are looters trying to raise a large enough armed crowd to take money from producers and transfer it to what Adam Smith delicately referred to as “unproductive hands.” I remember reading in “Atlas Shrugged” about people choosing death as a value, and Orwell’s “Nineteen Eighty-Four” specifically mentions “death-worship.”
