When James Hansen started the big global warming scam during the summer of 1988, he was 99% certain that the heatwave that summer was due to global warming.

His testimony before Congress came during the last really hot summer in the US. Peak temperatures had already declined substantially since the 1930’s, but they plummeted further since he announced that he was certain global warming was causing the heatwave.
On August 9, 1936 Du Quoin, Illinois was 113 degrees. But since Hansen testified, there have only been three years where they made it barely over 100. Peak temperatures in Du Quoin have dropped about one degree per decade since the 1930’s.
In the Washington D.C. area (outside of the Urban Heat Island) 100 degree days have been almost non-existent since 1988.
Setting the threshold to 90 degrees in rural Indiana shows the same thing.
Hansen, like all the rest of his climate buddies have absolutely no clue what they are talking about – so they mask it with baseless claims of certainty.
Not to mention that Hansen’s 1988 testimony was a fraud from day one.
