Landfall In South Carolina?

One of the web sites I have been looking at has been very accurate so far, and they are predicting landfall in South Carolina tomorrow. There could be a dangerous storm surge associated with this.

I don’t think it will. I think it will continue to follow very closely to the NAM model. It has so far.

  2. Frank K. says:

Let’s hope not. My mom lives in Charleston and is staying put (though she is well inland from the coast).

  3. Brad says:

High tide in Charleston is around 9 am tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a midday landfall.

  4. Drcrinum says:

Whether or not it actually makes landfall in South Carolina, this will be a major rainfall event for coastal South Carolina because of the interaction between the hurricane passage and the oncoming cold front.

  5. I’m on record saying that #Matthew will not make landfall anywhere and the 4002 day record will stand. Risky bet, but I don’t think Matthew will do it.

That is not to say that others won’t claim that it did make landfall. But I don’t think the area of min pressure will cross the shoreline. I do think it will be close and South Carolina is going to see some weather and storm surge they wish they hadn’t.

All depends if it regains hurricane status on the wrap around. If it is looking like a political winner for Hillary, I’m sure NOAA will update it accordingly.

Also, the south eastern part of NC, and I’m assuming the coastal region of SC, has been dealing with floods the past couple weeks. More rain there is going to be a big problem.

I have mentioned that reporters are sinking below the status of politicians. This comment seems to show just how low.

I can tell you Shep came very very close to getting curb stomped in a French Quarter bar on the Sunday before Katrina arrived. His camera man pulled his sorry ass out in the street as a “biker” (really tall guy) shoved people aside to get to him. Shep was literally in the wrong place to call people morons for not leaving town.

However it seems Shep didn’t learn his lesson. He is back being a Drama Queem saying “Your all going to DIE!!!

The sequence is hilarious. Is this a stand up comedian?
