According to the National Weather Service, for Fort Worth, TX, Dallas-Fort Worth area, for the period 1899-1918 there were 846 days that reached 95 degrees or hotter. For the period 1998-2017, there were 1,344 days that reached 95 degrees or hotter.

    • Gator says:

      Let me spell that out.

    • garyh845 says:

How about between 1925 and 1944?

    • tonyheller says:

Jeff’s cherry-picking years from more than a century ago is a pretty good indicator that the gig’s up for climate alarmists.

      • Scott Koontz says:

Isn’t half of your site devoted to showing a single temperature station? And for just a few months (winter or summer?)

Why should we care what happens in Weatherford, Texas? Why did you not pick a random station? Answer: because odds are that it will show warming, obviously.

Why not a random station in CA or NM? Because it would be very difficult for you to find a station that shows warming.

        • Gator says:

Scotty, Tony likes to put a finger in the eye of you wacky alarmists. By singling out dates and locations, he is goving you guys a dose of your own medicine, and st the same time illustrating that the science is not settled.

Thanks for all the wailing and gnashing of teeth, it’s what he wants.

  2. Disillusioned says:

For the period 1899-1918, the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation Index was negative, falling, bottoming out toward the end of that period.

For the period 1998-2017, the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation Index was in a positive upswing, reaching toward the top toward the end of that period.

The problem with the CO2 alarmism cult is that its believers refuse to acknowledge natural factors as real possibilities for what goes on.

  3. Scott Koontz says:

I just knew there would be more than a few locations, in specific months, for afternoon high temps only, that would show a downward trend.

Must be tiring to sift though all those locations and months that show warming. A bit refreshing to find the cherry picks that make you feel better.

    • Gator says:

You mean cherry picks like Jeff’s?

    • AndyG55 says:

Latest studies matches Tony’s summer trends very well.

A peak in the 1940-1958 then a drop , with zero to no warming afterwards

Science is beyond you, isn’t it, koon.

Did you study home science, or social science?

    • MrZ says:

Scott, did you ever analyze any data yourself or do you just echo what you’ve heard/read?

Tony provides some good transparent tools above. You can also download from NOAA and process yourself. Below is TMAX Anomaly Spread for USHCN. Gray is the truly hot 1930. Red is the truly hottest 1934 and blue is the ADVERTISED hottest 2012. QCU is raw data. QCA is adjusted data.

Do you see how 2012 become the hottest?

      • Scott Koontz says:

I suggest you look up the term “adjustments.”

Without adjustments, the warming trend is far more pronounced. Of course you’d have to know that the globe is mostly water not land.

I see, you suddenly want adjustments. Look up Curry (skeptic/denier) who will set you straight on what is adjusted and how.

  4. litesong says:

TSI(Total Solar Irradiation) has been languid for 50(+?) years & low for 11+ years(including 3+ year record low setting a 100 year record). Despite less solar energy reaching Earth, diurnal low temperatures have had least downward affect. When day’s high temperatures show decadel decreases, often diurnal temperatures continue to rise. I see Trump (in reality, “don’T rump) non-sigh-ants gov’t no longer monitors diurnal temperatures, letting the anti-AGW deniers squawk for the duration of Trump’s reign.

    • AndyG55 says:

“TSI(Total Solar Irradiation) has been languid for 50(+?) years”

      Utter GARBAGE. !!

During the Grand Solar Maximum of the latter half of last century..

Your mind is in a fantasy land !!

    • AndyG55 says:

And only a totally moronic fool thinks the huge mass of water in the oceans is going to respond overnight

      Are you that FOOL ??

      Stop parroting GARBAGE.

    • Gator says:

How many years does it take to make someone as ignorant as litesong? Really. The reprogramming of these mindless parrots could be a lifetime of work.

      • Disillusioned says:

It is a long, slow slog. It is pervasive. I just could not believe that real science had been hijacked and we had been lied to. It took me years for the doubt to go away. When I read the history of what happened to science after WWII, that helped me to understand and let go of the AGW myth.

        • Gator says:

I am fortunate that I never went down the believer road. But by the time I first heard the term “global warming”, I had already been through two fake climate crises, and already studied geology and climatology.

I will admit that I gave their hokey theory a 5% chance of being right, until I incovered all the lying and cheating, then I knew that even they knew it was crap. All of their claims are based upon cherry picked dates, fake temperatures, and confirmation biased models.

As has been rightly pointed out by believers like Bjorn Lomborg, climate change is our least concern. Survey after survey puts it at the bottom of the list of societal and ecological concerns. Spending money on climate change is murder.

  5. Scott Koontz says:

Why all the cherry picked locations with cherry picked months using only high temps?

The reason is pretty simple. It is very easy to chose a location & timeframe & recording to dupe the most dupable people in the world.

It would be fun to watch Tony’s face if he presented such silliness to an audience. All you have to do is show two or three (or five) stations that have warmed (using his same cherry pick) for every one of his. Of course he would stammer, offer some lame “but I trust my random pick, not yours.”

Show him what happens when you use ALL of the stations that are perfectly located in the US.

Every single Heller post here is a cherry pick. Only the uneducated believe th earth is cooling, and Tony is here to make sure you remain uneducated.

    • AndyG55 says:

“Show him what happens when you use ALL of the stations that are perfectly located in the US.”

      This is what happens

      • Scott Koontz says:

I see. No link. No source. Why do you continue to post graphs that have no source? No info on how they were produced. That’s what duped people do.

Look up BEST, because they used Watts’ best rated stations.

        Good luck!

        • AndyG55 says:

You mean you don’t keep up with the latest papers.???

Oh dearie me. what sort of low-end scientist are you.

Source is on the image, koon!! Go hunt. go learn

I bet you haven’t learnt anything since you left Al Gore’s climate propaganda 101 class.

Still waiting for that empirical proof of CO2 warming

You are proving yourself just a EMPTY and CLUELESS as all the other low end AGW-cult trolls.

          • RAH says:

Scott has to be spoon fed AndyG55. He wants you to put a bib on him, feed him, and wipe his chin. Then he needs to be burped and will without fail barf on your shoulder.

        • Gator says:

Idiot Scotty, as with virtually all graphs, the source can be found at he bottom of the graphic.

You are clearly not trained in anything other than trolling.

  6. Al Shelton says:

I am interested in other beliefs you have.
Do you believe in Astrology? Psychokinesis? Aliens among us?
    Please name a few.

  7. Scott Koontz says:

I wonder what other beliefs you duped people have.

    Astrology? Psychokinesis? Aliens among us?

  8. garyh845 says:

GISS Surface Temperature Analysis – Station Data: Weatherford (32.8 N,97.8 W)

Even here – no long term warming trend to see. If we have a long term trend of global warming, how in the world are there all these locations around the world which do not reflect the same? Nobody would consider Weatherford, TX a cold spot.

  9. Kim Thort says:

The summers are still hot no matter what. At least data is showing it is declining. Good post.
