US Climate Becoming Much Less Extreme

Over the last century, the number of both hot and cold days has declined in the US. The first hot day is coming later, and the last hot day is coming earlier. Claims that the climate is becoming more extreme are based on junk science from NOAA, and superstition.

  1. Steve Case says:

Average of the daily TMAX and TMIN is an average of Apples and Oranges and by the same token the average of summer and winter temperatures is also nearly meaningless.

As I’ve posted before, the average of 49 and 51 is 50 and the average of 1 and 99 is also 50. Or as Dixie Ray Lee put it, “Beware of averages. The average person has one breast and one testicle.”

But that’s what we get from NOAA GISS HADCRUT etc.

Hey Tony, what is up with nights below 10 F?

  3. GW Smith says:

    Great one, Tony! Thanks.
