Hiding The Heat At Bourke

Bourke, NSW has had 768 days over 110F (43C) since 1872. More than half of those days occurred before 1910, so BOM makes them magically disappear.

BOM throws out temperature readings of 121.5 degrees, because they have a theory the readings might be off by half a degree. One of the most pathetic excuses for data tampering.

    These are the temps for Bourke in Jan, 39. The first column is the raw temp, the second is ACORN, the adjusted temps. Every day has been adjusted – all temps over 30C have been reduced and the two under 30C adjusted up by 0.1C.
