Categorizing The Idiot Clans

There are various different clans of idiots out there busy trying to discredit me among their fellow idiots. Here are some of them.

  1. People who believe the triple point of water is not a triple point
  2. People who believe substances don’t freeze below their freezing point
  3. People who don’t believe in the Ideal Gas Law
  4. People who believe that averaging the entire temperature data set is tampering.
  5. People who believe that Antarctica is melting at -50C.
  6. People who believe that glacial melt causes mounds of water to form near Indonesia
  7. People who believe that the 2 trillion tons of snow which falls on Greenland every year should never melt.
  8. People who think that it is unfair to take the air temperature of Greenland’s two mile thick ice sheet at 10,000 feet elevation.
  9. People who believe they can calculate mass balance from gravity data – without knowing what the land is doing under the ice sheet.
  10. People who believe that a small handful of quacks is a 97% consensus.

etc., etc. etc.

Quite entertaining I might add.

    Hilarious!

The rest would be touching if they weren’t so toxic.

  2. Justa Joe says:

OT: Chicagoland flirting with a record low temp tomorrow in the low 50’s, but I’m sure that’s because of all of the anthropogenic heat.

Its going down to 55 tonite in Mid Tenn and having to wear a jacket in mid-July…..warming…..yeah, right. Gore must be around.

  3. Don’t underestimate them, though. They have been successful in effectively shutting down the nuclear energy industry. They are effectively blocking new hydro projects. They are trying very hard to “phase out” the entire hydrocarbon energy industry. Eventually they will have to give up on wind power due to the environmental damage. At least we’ll still have solar… which should be sufficient to power our little huts, for part of the day, at least. 😉

  4. Brad says:

You know Tony, those are all true. But what is most ridiculous, fantastic, uhm… surreal?… is that the Idiot Clans believe that people like me belong to an idiot clan. I read comments on many blogs and “news” stories about CAGW. I don’t think there is any common ground.

    Me? I’m evil.

Them, well, I just think their wrong but getting close to evil.

I could go on a long rant but will leave it at that.

Ya know SAttP, you’ve got an irrelevant handle.

Wherever Al Gore goes, he brings the pole with him.

      Brrrrrr.

    I do agree that

8.People who think that it is unfair to take the air temperature of Greenland’s two mile thick ice sheet at 10,000 feet elevation

is not unfair but used incorrectly by you. I assume you use it to show the Greenland ice cap has not completely melted, which is true, but we know that anyway.

Actually why do you post it repetitively? It adds no real science at all.

    Andy

  6. DT says:

I was going to post that #8 was sublimely unassailable. But Andy beat me to the punch.

    Well played, Andy.

  7. DT says:

On a completely unrelated note, it’s really easy to win at this game when you start dealing with reality and facts, am I right?

  8. Andy Oz says:

I think a statistical normal distribution proves that 50% of people are below the mean IQ. We all know which side of the mean the Alarmists are on. And yes, they can be entertaining.

  9. I think an interesting post would be one where you take a look at how honest the government data sets are on sea level measurements. If they “adjust” the measured temperatures, why not “adjust” sea level measurements?

  10. philjourdan says:

Most are religious. They have been told to believe, so they do. With no clue about what they believe.

  11. Rosco says:

97 % of extremists believe violent jihad is sanctioned by Allah – doesn’t make it right though !

97% of the Gestapo and SS believed the holocaust was justified !

97% of the medical authorities thought Banting was wrong about insulin and diabetes !

97% of the medical authorities thought the idea that Helicobacter pylori caused ulcers was absurd – and this F*** – up occurred in “enlightened” modern times. It took 20+ years for the undeniable evidence to be accepted.

The “consensus” has never been anything more than a group of people who parrot what they have been taught unquestioningly and often share a common delusion through mistaken superiority.

  12. _Jim says:

I see a missing category, the geran category: Populated by mean, vicious little SOBs (a technical term, I assure you) who limit their knowledge of thermal energy transfer to simple concepts of gaseous convection and the ideal gas law and nothing whatsoever involving radiative energy transfer …
