The dust bowl covered the corners of Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas. It was the result of poor farming methods and a severe drought. A drought that covered most of the US. To just blame the drought on poor farming practices is just plain lying. If, as the alarmists infer, we are experiencing unprecedented warming, then the drought of the 30’s would be considered average.
To look at it another way, the drought of the 30’s would be considered within 1 sigma and the current drought would be outside 6 sigmas.

I think the point is that the drought wasn’t caused by people, but the fact that hundreds of thousands of acres of land that would have otherwise been grass/forest was now bare soil, which, when in drought led to large amounts of dust.

There are still too many people whose parents lived during and in these areas. My wife and I both had parents in differing parts and no there was little ‘bare soil’. 1st hand experience told us the drought was caused by no or very little rain.
