The geniuses at the Guardian have started this campaign :
Energy companies provide the energy that keeps 7 billion people alive. If they “kept it in the ground” billions of people people would be dead in a matter of weeks or months.
The Guardian staff should volunteer to be the first to turn off their fossil fuels, and rid the world of some of its biggest douche bags.
Better yet, for a better future, have leftists keep it in their pants.
Once they only use wind and solar power, with no fossil fuel backup, should we be required to think about it. Prove your ideas work Guardian staff and show us doubters the way.
Added benefit, the number of 2 to 3 day periods without having to hear their bull would raise our spirits.
Progressives do not know the whole world is ruled by the pulsar-centered Sun – a microcosm of our beautiful, bountiful, benevolent universe – composed entirely of two forms of one fundamental particle (dominant species in the solar core and solar photosphere):
_ 1. Neutron: Compact proton/electron pair
_ 2. H-atom: Expanded proton/electron pair
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/Solar_Energy.pdf
The universe, its galaxies and stars are dynamic (alive) because
_ a.) As these expand, neutrons become H-atoms, and mass => energy
_ b.) As these contract, H-atoms become neutrons, and energy => mass
[Here is a ‘Teachers Supplement to “Solar energy”‘]
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/Supplement.pdf
Thus operates the beautiful, bountiful, benevolent and infinite universe that frightened world leaders agreed to hide from the public in 1945, and assume the role of God for themselves, using National Academies of Science, the United Nations, the news media and prestigious research journals to promote the same false, lock-step, research-grant-directed consensus “science” worldwide.
The Royal Society published Fred Hoyle’s misleading information on the internal composition of stars in 1946, and another British author of science – George Orwell – started writing “Nineteen Eighty-Four” in 1946 to warn society that a new form of tyrannical government would use misinformation to rule the public. Seven decades later, . . .
Thanks to the 2009 Climategate emails and blind arrogance in the responses of world leaders, the UN’s IPCC, NAS, publishers and the news media the post-WWII structure of false science and tyrannical rule of the world are collapsing.
Permission is hereby granted to editors of all mainstream research journals to reproduce and publish the manuscript and/or supplement on “Solar energy” and to invite open, public review by editors, NAS members, and other members of the 97% consensus science community.
The purpose of the open invitation is self-identification of dishonest editors and scientists.
With kind regards,
Oliver K. Manuel

I think progs should take the No Fossil Fuels challenge themselves.
Lets set-up an enclave in the Rocky mountains with NO petroleum products or materials made with the help of petroleum products.
No plastics, no metals, no factory made anything…
We will be nice and give them a set of survival manuals a steel and flint and a half hour lesson in flint napping.
Come to think of it. ALL politicians who want to run for office will also have to go through our reality training course for two weeks.
“with NO petroleum products or materials made with the help of petroleum products”
So certainly no solar panels or wind turbines. 🙂
Massive amount of fossil fuels used in them and/or to make them.
Thats true
And in return they produce electricity.
You can’t power the grid on cosmetics, tennis balls or flat screen tv’s…or coal ash
Actually coal ash is a good soil amendment that produces higher crop yields, meaning that it could increase ethanol production per acre. So the truth is, coal ash can help power our infrastructure.
Ethanol ? In order to meet the US energy demand there is not enough water to sustain the crops required if ethanol is your fuel of choice, but feel free to try
Ever hear of the Mississippi River. Idiot! 😆
You never did the maths for ethanol and water consumption
4 gallons of water are required to produce 1 gallon of ethanol. Do the math
And ethanol is not an ideal fuel for electricity production in case you didn’t know.
Yes, corn has never grown in the corn belt. How silly of me. 😆
Conservative water reduction measures are required for ethanol production to be sustainable

“You can’t power the grid on cosmetics, tennis balls or flat screen tv’s…or coal ash’
WOW, what a moronically stupid statement.
I’m beginning to expect nothing else from you.
Hey Andy! Chrissy’s source calls Gov Moonbeam ‘smart’! 😆

Drunks are so much fun!
This is what hypocrisy looks like :

And this…
http://www.statesman.com/news/news/crime-law/exclusively-for-white-people-stickers-found-on-sug/nkY7f/
The NAACP has an issue with “Whites Only” stickers.
Another false flag designed to get people worked up. Black Panthers there the same day stickers went up…….
It was a publicity stunt by a scumbag lawyer.
http://kxan.com/2015/03/20/austin-lawyer-adam-reposa-says-he-put-up-white-people-stickers/
But the hypocrisy of the NAACP stinks even more.
Fear and greed are all climate alarmists have going for them. Creating mindless fear based on scary, fraudulent propaganda, and their unbridled greed.
Anyone who knows anything about “progressives” … or whatever they’re calling themselves these days know that progressive rules, laws, policies DO NOT APPLY TO PROGRESSIVES.
We won’t have cheap abundant energy, but they will.
Nothing that has ever come from the black cold heart of a progressive has ever applied to them. Everything is meant to subdue and control the “little people”.
Simply look at the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton. Or look at any of the rich bastards pushing the climate scam like the bloated corrupt ass Al Gore. He wants US to abide by his rules while he rakes in money and travels all around the world getting more.
That’s like telling Bill to keep it in his pants.
the guardian sold off the profit making part of their business – a car magazine. Banking £500 million they never really have to make a profit , just live off the interest Do we really need a- never having to make a profit – newspaper telling us what companies should be doing what.
The problem with most regular progressives is that they are idiots. No, I am not being over the top. I have worked among “normal people” who are progressives for decades and I can tell you they hold strong beliefs and have good hearts but they are stupid. No amount of evidence or logic can crack them from their idiotic positions. For example, I have asked before, “ok, what energy source should we use right now to keep our people from freezing to death?” The answers, when you can get one, are all emotional claptrap.
The USA and the UK seem to have become the “idiocracy” from the movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/
And the problem is getting worse, for obvious reasons…

From coal we get fire, as we do with gas and oil.
But in addition to that we can do something else with these wonderful resources.
From coal we get medicines, we get some very complex which allow synthesis of other compounds that we use for medicine, such as making salicylic acid (aspirin) from the phenol we get from it…not to mention nylon, some incredible dye compounds, fertilisers. The cure for cancer is perhaps to be found in coal
From gas we most commonly derive ammonia, to use in large scale fertiliser production, among other things
From oil the list isn’t quite endless….but it is a considerably long list….everything from medicine, to fertiliser to plastics…here’s a few
Credit cards
Plastic bags
Hair brushes
Anti-freeze
Motorcycle Helmets
Carpets
Telephones
Brake fluid
Boats
Glue
Toilet Seats
Shampoo
Household paint
Detergent
Bowls
Fertiliser
Explosives
Car tyres
Artificial turf
Football boots
Lipstick
Weed killer
Parachutes
Umbrellas
Food wrappers
Shower curtains
Waterproof coats
Artificial limbs
Roads
Bubble wrap
Drinks bottles
Toothbrushes
Life jackets
Fishing line
Tennis rackets
Roller blades
Eye glasses
Lunch boxes
Flower pots
Toys
Car seats
Insulation
Nail polish
Hair spray
Medicines
Insect repellant
Golf balls
I wouldn’t be the first person to suggest that these amazing resources are just too important to set fire to them to boil water…..what else can we do with them ? We hardly know enough about what other uses they might have….I wouldn’t be in a rush to consume them as quickly as possible …how much does it cost to cure cancer when you’ve burnt most of your chances ?
But none of these would be possible without a solid reliable energy supply to make them with.
The solid, reliable energy you can only get from coal, gas or nuclear (and hydro in the right terrain and climate).
Not nuclear, far too expensive and would add to the price of everything you made with it
Totally unlike wind power. 😆
Totally
Can I find you an AA sponsor? I have not ever needed one, but I do like helping the disabled.
Only if I can find you a maths tutor. I have never needed one, but I don’t mind helping the less advantaged either
Sorry dummy, but I was enrolled in advanced math classes throughout my schooling, along with advanced biology and literature. I skipped a grade, thanks to low scoring pupils like yourself.
Chris thinks that just because he can push buttons on a calculator, that makes him clever.
But as it seems to be as far as he ever got, guess we can chuckle and go along with his baseless, ego-driven misconception.
I used to teach maths to low IQ 15 year olds with more intelligence that this guy.
Well why is it that your claimed maths ability doesn’t show here then, when you claim you have facts which dispute the claims of others…only to produce internet links.
You’ve got religious-like beliefs which are not what we can call maths
Andy”I used to teach maths to low IQ 15 year olds with more intelligence that this guy.”
I used to think that 20% was a silly figure to use for the load factor of wind turbines , but then I saw the light 😉
Not much light though.. not when the wind isn’t blowing
Unless of course you have 100% fossil fuel backup.
RELIABILITY FACTOR. 1% – 2% ..
UNRELIABLE, more a nuisance than anything else, just getting in the way of proper energy system.
You KNOW that, because, as you have amply proven, you don’t have the faith in your rantings to ever put yourself in a situation of being reliant on wind.
And you’ve got religious-like beliefs that you are totally unable to back up with any action.
You say you believe in your trivial propaganda arithmetic, but you just can’t walk the walk.
So puny…. You have nothing but empty rhetoric.
And 20% capacity factor at a reliability of 1-2%.. yeah, just what developing countries need. !! roflmao
What a JOKE these wind turbines really are.
Just like you, they can never deliver. Is it junior high break over there or something?

Just think of all the stuff we could have made if we hadn’t wasted so much on it on wind turbine blades and towers. 🙂
And all the high quality loudspeakers, MRI’s , flat screen LCD Tv’s we could have made if we didn’t use all the neodymium for 2 tonne magnets. 🙂
Don’t forget the extra power as they are net users of power over their pitiful lifetimes and require an input of coal or oil or gas or hydro. And none of them run even that long as most are failing at about 1/2 the claimed working life.
And when they do reach the end of life ?
There are a large number of engineering companies employing many skilled people refurbishing the wind turbines for reinstallation…the process is officially called ‘repowering’
https://uk.search.yahoo.com/search?fr=chr-greentree_gc&ei=utf-8&ilc=12&type=201117&p=refurbished+wind+turbine
Somebody is making a fortune by installing the much cheaper refurb uints after the primary unit reaches it’s first service interval
What you’re describing is a car
Huh? What kind of crappy car have you got that fails at 1/2 its claimed working life? Even the East German Trabant could last through its official SED Politburo-mandated working life of 10 Five-Year Plans.
Junk whatever it is you’ve got and talk to some old Commies in Zwickau. A Progressive in charge of technology should drive at least a Trabi 500 on his way up to the windmills. The Zwickau comrades may still have one sitting around in the back yard. Once you experience the German Trabant toughness, you will start demanding better quality and durability from your windmills.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqWqF56aZtc
And don’t forget you’ll need both gas and oil for the 2-cycle. It will smoke like hell but that’s a sign it’s working.
According to the US dept of Transport, a car lasts for 13 years or 145k miles.
My car is currently at 168k, not bad for an Alfa Romeo…it had 122k miles on the clock at 3 years old
The average age of a car being sent to scrap in the USA is 10.2 years…the same as a low estimate for the life of a wind turbine.
14.8 millioin cars and trucks went for scrap last year…
It doesn’t matter how much is made if you don’t need to buy it in the first place.
I am thinking of all the stuff we could have made…….but i don’t need any when I’ve already got what I need.
Consumption mentality dictates that you imagine a constant flow of new products to replace the others which have already bored you.
“I am thinking of all the stuff we could have made”
Yep, if that hadn’t wasted so much money on ineffective, unreliable solar and wind, we would most probably have function thorium nuclear by now.
Just so long as the fossil fuel industry keeps pushing carbon, in the form of CO2, back into the shorter term carbon cycle from long term sequestration, the world should be ok.
We must never let it drop to below 350ppm if we want world food supplies to keep supplying.
Nuclear costs too much
At least nuclear is RELIABLE. Its there when its needed.
Wind.. 1-2% reliability factor.
“At least nuclear is RELIABLE. Its there when its needed.”
Well, for at least as long as it takes before it melts down
Free the CO2
CO2 is free.. its a by-product of stable, reliable electricity production. 🙂
7 billion people alive! That’s horrible!

Evidence free zone counts for nought with that lot of dickwads.

The idea is to pull the plug on the West (whites), to debilitate it and to return it to feudalism. That way, we can never put them in the mythical gas chambers again. I’m not joking. And while we’re at it, let’s all become mulattos and mestizos. In their fevered brains, this is “de-Nazification”.
Mythical gas chambers?
