The wisdom of living in medieval times may work in your little hobby garden, but on the grand scale of a functioning farm it is impractical. I do as he does, not because I’m afraid of modern technology, but because I need additional soil every year. And I produce enough vegetables to provide for every dinner during the summer, and maybe 30 pints of canned stuff during the year. We would starve if that were all we had to eat.
Virtue Signalling is a mental illness.

So, if you can keep it fully organic and fully natural, the process is much easier for the environment and much easier for the garden.
But, “the process” is still somewhat hard on the environment?!? That rock obviously does not understand “the process.”
First – The plants he grows, whether naturally or fertilized, produce the counter agent of carbon dioxide. Surely he knows that. Surely. No?
Second – There is no science shows carbon dioxide to be detrimental to the environment.
Any carbon footprint conversation is bat-sh*t-crazy anti-science.
edit: After “fertilized,” I left out that the plants he grows absorb carbon dioxide, which would make a net reduction to his fantasy carbon [dioxide] footprint.
