Are Penguin Chicks At Risk From Cold Temperatures?

Temperatures have been running very cold in Emperor Penguin breeding areas. In about a week the parents will stop feeding the chicks, and in about a month they will need to walk to the sea. The distance to the sea is further than it used to be because of the excess ice.

This is all due to Hansen’s polar amplification, which he forecast would eventually raise temperatures by 5-8C in Antarctica.

along with up to 40% ice loss.

I hope those penguins have good lawyers 🙂

Perhaps Hansen forgot that heat rises? Likely that penguins are only in the south because that pesky ice in the Arctic keeps disappearing on them…..to say nothing of the TV-top explosion danger…..

Makes one really want to quote from or link to any of Hansen’s scientific evidence doesn’t it.
