Global temperatures have been flat for almost sixteen years and are well below Hansen’s zero emissions Scenario C. This troubling data has led 97% of the world’s scientists to request more funding.

Apparently, only those of us who know we will never get funding are immune to this brain-deadening condition, this determined irrationality on the part of all the “experts”. As I have tried to tell everyone, of course, it is due to the fact — fact — that the present paradigm, of undirected evolution of the Earth and all the life on it, is failing, has in fact failed. They can’t imagine that all of their “knowledge” is so much wastepaper on the bottom of the birdcage…current theories already no better than historical relics of a bygone age — Gone With the Wind (yes, I’m sure there will be movies about it, in the indeterminate future). No one wants to believe what I just wrote, of course; the Darwin myth is too important to the overwhelming majority of them.
@ harrydhuffman
As a climate sceptic, I am sensitive to the impression we give to people newly come to the debate. You will be aware that your stated views on evolution are controversial. In fact, without supporting evidence, that staement makes you look like a crackpot.
Among the climate catastrophe believers, the craziest are those who disregard every valid point their opposition has made. Sadly, the same is true of our own side.
Can I ask you at least which elements of the theory of evolution you do accept?
Leo, I accept that a species adapts to its environment. No problem there; we’ve seen it in action. I think what harrydhuffman is referring to what I call ‘neo-darwinism’. That is the belief that through random mutations and natural selection one species eventually becomes another species. I think the evidence here is on thin ice at best.
Only if we all buy Chevy Volts.

A decade or so from now many people will shake the their heads in astonishment at the fact that a body of scientists-turned-research-grant-junkies and their eco-loon allies went crazy over a 0.75 degree centigrade increase in global temperature during the 20th century.
Most of today’s AGW crystal ball gazers are better suited for a career in astrology.
Climastrology.
It won’t be stopped by Current TV it seems.
—————————————————————————————–
Founded in 2005 by Al Gore, Current TV quickly made a name for itself as a go-to source for environmental incoherence, Democrat lunacy, and far-left diatribes. If providing an outlet for liberal kooks was the goal, it succeeded admirably. However, if it was trying to attract viewers, well, it’s had some difficulty. Now, it’s up for sale.
CEO Joel Hyatt recently told the New York Post that “Current has been approached many times by media companies interested in acquiring our company. This year alone, we have had three inquiries. As a consequence, we thought it might be useful to engage expertise to help us evaluate our strategic options.”
That’s big-time TV exec speak that roughly translates as “We’re getting ready to dump this turkey.”
” … has led 97% of the world’s scientists to request more funding.
97% of the world’s FOREMOST scientists you mean.
There is something more to the 1998 “super” El Nino, I am convinced of it.
