Fifth Rower Joins The Team

I was wondering what Reggie’s profile looked like. 😀
As in, “What, me worry?”
This whole story really is a perfect analogy for the wider battle. We have the Climate Change Hockey Team with sticks that have no blade, and now the Climate Change Rowing team with a boat that doesn’t row….
RTF
Will we soon be seeing the Climate Change Hunting Club with dogs that don’t hunt?
Paddling with hockey sticks is not the optimal plan. But maybe they can get a game in while they wait for Reggie’s blowtorch to heat up. 😉
Row, row, row your boat Gently Down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
Row, row, row your boat Gently Down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
Row, row, row your boat Gently Down the stream.

Row, row, row your boat Gently Down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
Row, row, row your boat Gently Towards the Ice.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Next time they’ll think twice…
Row, row, row your boat, gently in the sand.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
You’ll claim that’s the plan…
Pro, pro, pro promote
A one world order scheme
Tyranny, tyranny, tyranny, tyranny
From the hockey team
That’s better.
Gator wins. 🙂
Which way did they go?
How many were there?
I must find them!
I am their leader…..
They should have send in an ice skating team.
I used Google Earth and estimated that they rowed about 260km of the 3000km. Less than 10% and this means that it would under ice free condition and good weather take them more than the 75-90 days they announced. A lost game already.
Looks to me like they have done about half of that distance – 130km,
Yes, but consider those other idiots who make ice crossings, and keep lamenting how they are going Backwards as the ice drifts… it could be that these guys covered some of the same ‘terrain’ more than once on this trip.
What you see in SPOT is missing the part from Inuvik, NT, Canada and this combined is what I posted.
SPOT has only from the 11th of July onwards. ~130/6 ~ 22 => 3000 /22 ~ 136 days
That’s even worse.

You have to admit that a 260km row at temps well below freezing, gale force winds and no shelter is a very admirable feat. Just not what they said their objective was. I’m impressed with both the achievement and their stupidity. It matches reggie’s.
I agree.
I’m impressed with both the achievement and their stupidity, too.
I only admire their stupidity. Enviously so, it must be nice to that stupid.

They probably added Al to operate a hand-cranked generator. The addition of a cartoon character seems to be a fitting addition to the crew.
The sun will begin dropping below the horizon about a week from now and by the end of the month they’ll have about four hours of no sun. Nine hours by the end of August. Less time for their solar panels to work.
I don’t think Starbucks delivers in their area. Without Al to operate the crank they’d have to cut back on their coffee fix.

What? Surely you didn’t mean to say that Reggie’s four amigos are up the creek without their paddles?
The obnoxious Team Twisted rowers are really putting on the mileage today, I see:)
They must have got the ice-cutter installed correctly last night…
Maybe I got this wrong but didn’t somebody do the NW passage when CO2 was supposedly much lower? Amundsen? Of course he had a bigger ship – 130 tonnes – and this was probably a great help in 1903 when the ice was much er… thicker (wasn’t it?).
ec0-geek,
Amundsen took three years to make the crossing, not 3 months.
