Affordable Healthcare Act To Cost $14,400 Per Year For A Family Of Four

Across the 48 states for which data were available, the unsubsidized monthly premiums could be as low as $70 for an individual and as high as $1,200 for a moderate plan for a family of four.

How much will Obamacare premiums cost? Depends on where you live.

“Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

  1. Gamecock says:

What part of “affordable” do you not understand?

  2. Mohatdebos says:

Translated into English, “affordable” as uttered by liberals means we will make someone else pay.

  3. Wyguy says:

If he was Pinocchio, his nose would reach Los Angeles from Washington, DC.

  4. Bob Greene says:

Was this said before or after the 2% FICA tax shennigans?

  5. My take (which I’ve given here before) is that Obamacare is a rich man’s law and a poor man’s tyranny–those with enough “discretionary spending” money to afford health insurance have an entirely different mindset than those without. I commented on pjmedia this morning:

Nothing will be solved by making it mandatory upon everyone to have health insurance. That is only going to spread the misery to everyone, without “improving healthcare” in the slightest. The bottom line is that healthcare is a problematic product, too often of little to no long-term value (because it tries to control the symptoms, not the underlying condition, and deaden pain, even though pain is the first line of defense, there for a reason not a punishment), and all the “experts” are fools to bet the farm–not to mention our individual right to choose for ourselves–upon such a product. The whole subject is based upon inadequate knowledge of the human body and what is really needed in each case to heal and maintain it. This is the same problem with “climate change policy” now: The idea that the “experts” know what is needed, and should be telling us all what to do about it. The real truth is that the medical community all too often can’t tell you what’s wrong with you, and climate scientists can’t tell you why the world is not warming after all–and we have a government with the deluded mindset, that it can control what it does not in fact understand. And it DOES NOT CARE for your individual rights, in its insatiable desire for your money and for your unquestioning obedience to it.

  6. Ben says:

    Obamacare

It’s so affordable that Congress and the President were too ashamed to sign up for it, and so exempted themselves as a magnanimous gesture.

It’s so affordable that the labor unions also feel guilty and wish to join the President and Congress in their magnanimity.

It’s so affordable that corporations feel guilty paying such a low premium, and so are letting workers purchase it directly. In a second selfless act of munificence, the corporations are giving some full time workers 11 hours off each and every week.

How much more hopeless change can this country stand?

  7. Pathway says:

The Democrat Party is the sole owner of Obama Care. Not a single Republican voted for the bill.

  8. R. de Haan says:

68% of Americans: Country going into the wrong direction.
And that comes from Bloomberg…. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-09-25/americans-turn-on-washington-68-say-wrong-track-in-poll.html

Now you know where to go with tar, feathers and a huge amount of strong rope.

  10. Latitude says:

it’s going to defund itself…..Kids can’t pay in without jobs, unions and government workers can’t pay in, too many people can’t afford it…

From those according to their ability, to those according to their need. No job? No money? No future planned? No problem. Nancy Pelosi said it’s great for artists so they can still keep their health insurance even when they are out of work.

  11. slimething says:

Obamacare is doing what it was designed to do: force businesses to cut hours of their employees thereby making them more dependent on government. Note however the employer mandate has been delayed. It also is designed to bankrupt private insurance companies, putting them under control of the government, as they cannot compete with government which has no budget. Then those left with “Cadillac” plans will be hit with a 40% excise tax and wipe them out.

The goal is a single payer government operated healthcare system. Obama stated it was his goal, although he lied later. Another aspect of Obamacare and its Socialist architects is to unionize all nurses and doctors and setting limits on salary. Remember that one great surgeon you were told about at a top rated hospital? You won’t be able to know or choose what’s best for you; Dr. Obama will determine who is best for you.

What this will amount to is 1/2 the population will be supporting, in part or total, the other 1/2. It is the definition of Marxism in its purist form.
