Over the past century, atmospheric CO2 has increased by one part per ten thousand. That is equivalent to packing an extra ten people into the Rose Bowl.

I would have drawn them in the photo, except all ten of them are currently at the hot dog stand.

For as long as I can remember, a “human rights activist” is someone who wants to replace a modern society with a seventh century Islamic dictatorship.

Every day reports had come out of murder. bloodshed, and summary executions. All were part of ‘Ayatollah Ruhollahl Khomeini’s systematic destruction of the social fabric I had woven for my nation during a 37-year reign.

And not a word of protest from American human rights advocates who had been so vocal in denouncing my “tyrannical” regime!

On this date in 1965,  most of the Eastern half of the country was over 60 degrees, and the northeastern US was in extreme drought. It was 62 degrees in Michigan, 66 degrees in Massachusetts, 69 degrees in Rhode Island, and 71 degrees at Washington D,C.

You can’t have “unseasonably cold” weather in January. Which season is it supposed to be this cold?  A better term would be “unreasonably cold.”

Don’t be confused by the record cold New Year’s Eve. Cold weather is weather, but hot weather is climate.

Forecast high for Boulder today was 45 degrees. We never made it above 24 degrees. But unlike the computer models, our local predatory birds are on target and looking well fed.
