In 1971, NASA’s top climatologists still understood that CO2 had very limited ability to warm the atmosphere, just as Knut Angstrom pointed out seventy years earlier. NASA was warning in 1971 that burning fossil fuels would cause a new ice age.

Schneider took his ice age theory directly to President Nixon, and was very upset that Nixon didn’t take action against global cooling.

Scientists had some brilliant plans how to stop global cooling, like melting the polar ice caps.

As late as 1977, Schneider was still pushing the global cooling scam.

However, by 1978 Schneider switched from pushing the global cooling scam to pushing the global warming scam. I prepared a chart below to explain his reasoning.

Atmospheric temperatures correspond almost perfectly with the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO) but they show little if any correlation to CO2. When the AMO shifted in the mid-1970’s Schneider realized there was no longer any money being made pushing global cooling, so he switched his profession from cooling scamster to warming scamster.

This was caused the evil man-made Polar Vortex, which is now caused by global warming, but in the 1970’s was caused by global cooling.

Scientists are terrified by the fact that there is no sea ice in Eastern Arctic around Spitsbergen right now, and are calling for UN controlled world communism as the solution.

The same thing happened in 1922, when the seas around Spitsbergen never froze all winter, and sea surface temperatures had warmed 12C.

In their infinite wisdom, scientists now understand that the Russian Revolution saved the world from 1922 warming.

In 1975, all climatologists understood that there was tremendous warming prior to 1940, and a large amount of cooling after 1940.

This pre-1940 warming and post-1940 cooling didn’t suit the political needs of NASA under Barack Obama, so they erased it. As you can see in the graph below, the actual data completely wrecked the story, so they wiped out most of the pre-1940 warming.

This destruction of the data did not happen by accident.  Climategate E-mails show that scientists removed the 1940’s warmth on purpose.
