Drought is a normal part of the California climate. Scientists have known for decades that California is prone to very long and severe droughts, and that wet periods are the exception rather than the rule.

Last year, the world’s leading expert claimed that Greenland was darkening due to soot.

The world’s leading expert on the ice that covers the huge expanse of Greenland has told The Independent that he was “stunned” to see how much darker it has become in the past year – warning it could start a hugely damaging “cascading feedback loop” of the area becoming blacker as less and less light is reflected.

For millennia, Greenland’s ice sheet reflected sunlight back into space, but satellite measurements in recent years suggest the bright surface is darkening, causing solar heat to be absorbed and surface melting to accelerate. Some studies suggest this “dirty ice” or “dark snow” is caused by fallout from fossil fuel pollution and forest fires.

But a new Dartmouth-led study shows that degrading satellite sensors, not soot or dust, are responsible for the apparent decline in reflectivity of inland ice across northern Greenland. The study’s results suggest the ice sheet hasn’t lost as much reflectivity as previously thought, and that black carbon and dust concentrations haven’t increased significantly and are thus not responsible for darkening on the upper ice sheet.

“It has nothing to do with climate”

Last week, NASA announced that the IPCC is wrong about East Antarctica, which is gaining ice, not losing it.

A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers.

The research challenges the conclusions of other studies, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2013 report, which says that Antarctica is overall losing land ice.

“Our main disagreement is for East Antarctica and the interior of West Antarctica – there, we see an ice gain that exceeds the losses in the other areas.”  Zwally added that his team “measured small height changes over large areas, as well as the large changes observed over smaller areas.

It didn’t require millions of dollars to figure this out. Researchers in East Antarctica have known for decades that they are gaining ice. The fact the IPCC (and John Cook) didn’t know, is a smoking gun of extreme incompetence and corruption.

But the fraud is much worse than it seems. The claimed “collapse of the west Antarctic Ice Sheet was occurring during the cold 1970’s, and scientists knew that it had nothing to do with climate.

This story of Antarctic fraud gets much worse though. The Ross Ice Shelf in West Antarctica has been rapidly retreating more than four feet per day since at least 1830, and possibly for centuries. It has nothing to do with CO2, and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.

But just when you think this story of fraud and corruption at the IPCC can’t get any worse, it does. Eight years ago, the IPCC knew that Antarctica was gaining ice.

They changed their story in 2013 under extreme pressure from governments, which cut almost all of the scientists out of the process.

You can’t make this stuff up. it is straight out of Orwell’s 1984. Only worse.

In 1982, NASA reported sea level rising 1.0 mm/year (less than 4 inches per century) from 1880 to 1980, and nearly flat after 1950. Their published graph showed less than 0.9 mm/year.

NASA has since increased 1880-1980 sea level rise rates by 60% to six inches per century.

But six inches per century isn’t very scary either, so they switched measurement systems and added on 0.3 mm/year for a completely fraudulent tampering, called the Global Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) – which has absolutely nothing to do with the measurement of sea surface height.

These are incredibly cynical fraudsters, who expect you to believe that sea level rise doubled coincident with them changing measurement systems. And to hide their malfeasance, they simply stopped showing tide gauge data after 1994 – which would wreck their claim.

Then they send this fully fraudulent data out to their useful idiot friends in the press, who are happy to parrot it.

Contrary to the flagrant lies of fraudsters like Heidi Cullen and Katherine Hayhoe, the frequency of hot days in the Midwest has plummeted. Days 95 degrees or above were three times as common one hundred years ago as they are now.

Heidi Cullen claims the exact opposite. She is making up lies which are the exact opposite of what the evidence shows.
