I had lunch today with Dr. Bill Gray from CSU, who is the best known hurricane forecaster on the planet, and who had his long time NOAA funding cut off in 1993 by VP Al Gore for being a skeptic. Billions of dollars of government research funding is used to corrupt climate science by luring the unscrupulous, and trying to starve the non-compliant.

Bill has never given in to government funded climate science corruption, because he is a man of principles. He has worked unfunded since 1993 because he was unwilling to lie about the climate as Al Gore demanded.

We discussed the insanity behind the New York Times attempting to taint volunteer skeptics like ourselves as being oil industry stooges. Tom Steyer just spent almost $100 million trying to corrupt the election in places like Colorado.  How Orwellian can the New York Times get?

The Great Lakes obliterated all records for springtime ice last year, and this year is poised to blow away last year’s records. All of the lakes have more ice than they did on this day last year.

Record cold is in the forecast for the next two weeks.

Government experts say that global warming is making US winters warmer, shorter and less snowy.

Temperatures at the Greenland Country Club have warmed up to -65F from last week’s -78F, and the greens are coming around nicely with some lovely new green grass.

The US is experiencing an historic deep-freeze with much of the country more than 20 degrees below normal. Most of the people in America would be freezing right now without fossil fuels.

The government responds by lying about the temperature, trying to make energy prices skyrocket, and doing everything they can to cut off the supply of fossil fuels.

The New York Times did another hit piece on Willie Soon, for shooting down Michael Mann’s Fraudulent hockey stick. Nothing new about that level of McCarthyism at the New York Times. They have long behaved exactly like everyone they claim to hate.

But look what else they did. The day before the New York Times published their article, some NYT insider sent this E-mail out to a large list of well known skeptics, which was hacked from a skeptic’s E-mail account

Apparently some New York Times insider is engaged in Internet hacking, identity theft and making threats. The newspaper’s goal is to silence dissent, because they are a propaganda organization.

In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today’s anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don’t own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

This is what Washington DC looks like today. Frozen solid and buried in snow.

The closest Virginia USHCN station to DC is at Lincoln, and they show no change in snowfall since the start of records, with three of the five snowiest years occurring since 2003.

In 2013, President Barack Obama hurriedly called a news conference on a hot day in DC, and performed a grade C acting job to try blame it on global warming.

The frequency of hot days in Virginia has plummeted, with two of the coolest summers occurring in 2013 and 2014.

In 2013 Obama made this tweet, claiming that 97% of scientists think climate change is Mann-made and dangerous.

There has never been any survey which showed anything remotely like what Obama claimed. Only 52% of American Meteorological Society members believe that global warming is primarily caused by humans, much less “dangerous.”

These top Democrats have no idea what they are talking about, and believe that anyone who disagrees with them should be silenced.

When Hansen said Manhattan’s West Side Highway would be under water by 2008, he probably meant ice.

Maple syrup

Rising temperatures are already causing sap to flow earlier: according to some estimates, this may push up maple production by up to a month by the end of the next century.

The US Department of Agriculture also predicts that the industry will move north, as the trees in cooler areas fair better, and maple trees in states such as Pennsylvania are less likely to survive the shift.
