After the team switched from tide gauges to satellites for measuring sea level, their reported rise rates magically doubled from 1.6 mm/year to 3.2 mm/year. The tide gauges don’t show this, but calibration never gets in the way of global warming propaganda.

Besides the 100% fraudulent GIA adjustment, much of the reported satellite rise is due to an area east of the Philippines where the error is greater than the trend. Note the red circle, where the trend is 6mm/year and the error is 10 mm/year.

Junk science doesn’t get any worse that that.

On Friday, Trenberth said that satellites can measure sea level to one mm and prove that the oceans are rising 3 mm/year.  He forgot to mention that the 1990 IPCC report showed that most tide gauges report less than 1mm/year

He also forgot to mention that the error from satellites is about 90% of the measured trend

The US midwest is having the coldest year on record through April 12, with the ratio of record lows to record highs 35:1

On March 19, 1907 – three HCN stations in Oklahoma were over 100 degrees. If this happened now, climate experts would cite it as 100% proof of global warming, and James Hansen would say it couldn’t have happened below 350 PPM CO2.

On April 12, 1972 – nineteen Oklahoma HCN stations reached 100 degrees, and Mangum reached 106 degrees. Temperatures in Mangum today are forecast to be half that, at 53 degrees.

If this happened today, climate experts would cite it as 100% proof of global warming, and James Hansen would say it was impossible with CO2 below 350 PPM.

US temperatures through April 12 are fifth coldest on record, and the coldest in 35 years.

The winter of 1977 was very similar to the winter of 2014 in the US. It was warm in Alaska and the west coast, and very cold in the midwest and the eastern US.
