Heat means more ice. Any idiot knows that. That is why 5 years ago, heat was causing less ice. Heat can cause either more or less ice. Or even sometimes the same amount of ice. Any idiot knows that!

  2. Mohatdebos says:

Who cares about Antarctica, my marina in Northern Michigan is still iced in and the forecast is for 3-6 inches of new snow tonight. Foolish me. I believed Al Gore when he claimed that Michigan would become a tropical paradise.

    • Gail Combs says:

I live in mid North Carolina just south of the snow line and we have below freezing forecast Wednesday night…. WTF!

In April ten years ago we had 6 day over 91 °F. Max for the entire month was 4 days @ 93 °F and the min for the month was 62 °F For the month of April in 2005 we had a max of 95 °F and a min of 73 °F so below freezing is NOT usual for this area in mid April especially near a solar cycle max.

    • Ockham57 says:

Mohatdebos, Everybody knows that global warming doesn’t always affect every place at the same time. This winter it was in California. Your ice is simply weather, because the heat is hiding at the bottom of the lake. Get with the program.

  3. Margaret Berger says:

Mohatdebos, you are such a wuss! That is thin rotten ice caused by heat. It’s not a problem unless you make it one.

  4. Eric Simpson says:

Btw, Steven, I combined this post with your one about the msm saying the Penguins are doomed in to a hotair comment just now:

BUT we see the liberal MSM constantly just spewing utter bs. They either know it’s bs and just present the garbage anyway, or they just don’t bother to check anything the Chicken Littles or radical leftist groups like the World Wildlife Fund give them. Now they are saying the Penguins are doomed because of melting Antarctic ice. Here is a Time magazine report:

    Global Warming Threatens Penguins
The Emperor, the largest and most recognizable of the penguin species, is thought to be the most vulnerable of all life in Antarctica. According to the World Wildlife Federation, the overall rise in temperatures is melting sea ice and dramatically reducing the scope of the penguin’s habitat.

    What complete baloney.

    • Billy Liar says:

Anyway, it’s increasing ice that affects the penguins most. The poor dears are all tuckered out when they reach their nesting sites if there’s more ice. Too worn out for a shag – no, that’s another bird isn’t it?

  5. Psalmon says:

The other message the lunatics are hitting hard is that Arctic Ice is 5th lowest on record…Forget that it has started melting slower than normal and is close again to average, well within a std dev.

  6. tom0mason says:

    Wither the Arctic death spiral.

  7. Chewer says:

A chilled Fall day really does have an effect on that ice buildup 😉

  8. Modsquad says:

Global Warming was all about carbon credits, which essentially was a way to tax the air. When that hit a snag the terminology became Climate Change. No one can argue against that, because the climate does change all the time. They’re still clinging to their dream of taxing the air. When that’s eventually in place they’ll try to tax the rain.

  9. How was the data interpreted to produce the graph?
