RRTM shows that the tropics receive 398 watts/m² downwelling longwave radiation. If there was no CO2, that would only drop to 392 watts/m²

In the tropics CO2 is only responsible for 1.5% of the greenhouse effect, and water vapor is responsible for almost all of the other 98.5%.

But it is worse than it seems. Almost all of CO2’s contribution is in the first 30 PPM. Additional man-made CO2 has essentially no effect on the energy balance in the tropics.

Satellite temperatures show that there has been almost no warming in the tropics.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)—An ambitious plan to deal with climate change. This week, Gov. Martin O’Malley made major strides with the scientific community, which says our state is in the target zone for the affects of extreme weather.

Experts say climate change is to blame for the increase in severe storms, flooding and extreme temperatures.

And data shows Maryland is vulnerable to the rise in sea level, possibly losing precious land to climate change long term.

“Last year we experienced the hottest year on record,” said Gov. O’Malley.

Untampered data shows that 2012 was the fifth warmest year in Maryland, after 1998, 1990, 1991 and 1949.

Most of that warmth was due to nighttime temperatures. Daytime temperatures were tenth warmest in 2012

But the real kicker is that most of that warmth was due to a mild winter and spring. Summer maximum temperatures last year in Maryland didn’t even rank in the top twenty, and the summer of 1929 was more than 1.5C hotter.

Once again, we see a delusional politician using fake numbers from NOAA as an excuse to pretend that his meaningless gestures are saving the planet. But it is worse than it seems. Even after NCDC cheating, 2012 still wasn’t the warmest year in Maryland.

Obama has been after Zimmerman for over a year, but has no interest in cold blooded killer Aaron Hernandez. The reasons are obvious :

1. Zimmerman had a legal gun, Hernandez didn’t. Obama only objects to peasants owning legal guns.
2. Zimmerman was defending himself, Hernandez was the aggressor. Obama doesn’t want peasants to be able to defend themselves.
3. Hernandez is a thug, and thus is a potential asset to his administration
