Democrats tried to end illegal spying on American citizens, but the trusty Republicans came through to give Obama the boost he needed.

Among Republicans, 94 voted for the Amash amendment and 134 against.

It was introduced by Michigan Republican Justin Amash, who warned during Wednesday’s debate that the proposal’s critics would “use the same tactic every government throughout history has used to justify its violation of rights: fear.

“They’ll tell you that the government must violate the rights of the American people to protect us against those who hate our freedom.”

President Obama tried to steer the nation’s attention back to his stewardship of an improving economy with a high-profile speech that took credit for a comeback

When Obama, Pelosi and Reed took over the Congress in 2007 (promising change) unemployment was an historically low 4.6%.  After two years of Democrats wrecking the economy, Obama was elected president in 2008 with unemployment at 6%.

After two years of Dems controlling everything unemployment was over 10%. Voters threw them out of the House of Representatives and unemployment started to decline. Now it is 7.6% and Obama is taking credit for the recovery.

A few months ago he got hysterical that the economy would rapidly collapse unless Congress gave him another $1 trillion to waste. They didn’t, and now he is bragging about the economy.

If any other president had singled out a black man for killing a white man, he would have been run out of office as a closet KKK member. His behavior would have been roundly condemned as abhorrent, racist and overstepping the boundaries between the executive and judicial boundaries.

Obama does exactly the same thing, and praise gets heaped on him.

After being caught illegally spying on everyone for the last five years, Obama complains that people who want to stop him are not being open.

Obama assumed that because Zimmerman’s skin color was lighter than Martin’s, that Zimmerman had committed a hate crime.

In Obama’s world, people are judged by the color of their skin, rather than evidence. Never mind that the jury and the FBI found no evidence that anything Obama was saying had any basis in fact.

That is called being a racist.
